  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

SI and pain are realistically are always going to be present. Humans are physiologically designed to want to survive, ctb goes against every instinct we've ever had.
Some methods that are likely to be less painful than others - Hanging, gas, SN, gun
Some methods that are likely to cause less SI than others - Gas, SN

I think that if I had a good answer to this question I would already be gone at this point. Sadly, I think that only those who are very fortunate die such a peaceful death and the reality is that suicide simply isn't straightforward. I believe that if I had N I would have absolutely no problems ctb but N isn't accessible.

I just think that all that anyone can really do is do their own research into methods to decide what is best for themselves, what is the best method depends on what is able to be accessed, but I certainly hate the fact how suicide is this difficult. We really shouldn't have to suffer so much in finding ways to leave this hellish world.

Unfortunately if there ever was/is an actual answer to this question, this website would be pointless and we could all actually find peace. But alas, society would rather us suffer and continue having to search underground forums to try to forge our path rather than allow us to exit with dignity at the time of our choosing. xoxo

You may be able to figure out a method that will produce minimal pain or suffering, but as far as SI is concerned, all of us have it to some degree. The ones with the least SI are the ones who reach a level of desperation to exit this life that completely overpowers any yearning for living.

You can numb the pain and SI of any method with opiates and benzos, respectively. Though I don't recommend overdosing them as your main method.

I figured it out finally!!
It's been a few years now since my most recent attempt failed. However, that entire day is a complete blank. Don't recall leaving my house or shaving my head. There's the vaguest recollection of kneeling on my parent's living room carpet, with a bottle of Gin in hand and a pile of pills in front of me.
I have come to describe the place I was in at the time as "the black pit of despair". Somewhere where there's no room for any of life's trappings or the people you know only too well, care about you or those niggling doubts often described as the survival instinct.
Having spoken with others and heard accounts of a similar notion, I came to realise that this is essentially a disassociative episode.
Thus it's my belief that setting a date is a mistake. While it's important to be prepared and "ready to go", everything will come together when the time is just right. It's not just another freaky me thing that I justify by attributing to everyone.
Not the most academic of articles, yet a confirmation of what I'm trying to explain.
