Can you advise me on what kind of rope to choose for hanging? How do I choose the right rope?

Would these specifications work?

Diameter: 10–14 mm

Braided polyester or polypropylene

The rope must not stretch

Should I choose one with or without a core?

Thank you

That will work, and I think it's better without a core to make tying knots easier

Because it is designed to moor boats, double braided dock line is great. It is strong and flexible with a smooth finish and holds knots well. 1/2 inch is a good diameter.
