Help How to burn bridges?

I have a girlfriend. Polyamorous. I need to cut her off or in other scenario she will have to read my suicide note. How can I do this with minimal pain for her, considering that she is on medication and is quite unstable? Of course she has friends who will support her, but ideally I need to find a replacement for myself. Ideas?

i don't think it's your responsibility to find a replacement. as for breaking up, you could try the classic "become such a bad partner that she has no other choice but to cut you off", or ghosting. but i feel like just telling her would be less difficult emotionally, especially over time

Instead of beating around the bush just tell your partner straight up that you want to break up.
It's not your responsibility to take care of them after , even if their mental health isn't great.

If you still do happen to care then keep them around as a friend .

sugar coat your words to hell and back. if you think you sugar coated them enough make them even nicer. thats what id do at least

Since you guys are polyamorous presumably one of her other partners will support her. Don't try to replace yourself, this isn't putting in your intent to resign at work this is dumping your girl.
