I'm NEET... The acronym.

Just directionless really. No skills, talents, or know-how to make money for anything but survival (maybe un-employable even). Became neet hikkikomori invalid. Some would say I'm lazy, but working only to be in essentially the same living conditions in some cheap apartments, with no real hope of moving up. In that situation, choosing to work seems a bit needless. I'm not literally unable to work at all, at least.

I'm wondering how many people here are neets? How does it relate to wanting to ctb?

im NEET as well. i left college last year and only briefly had a temp job. havent worked in months and i dont plan to get a job either. i have zero money tho, just living off welfare. i have a year of housing covered at least, but after that im most likely fucked. so thats basically given me a timeline to ctb.

my plans to ctb are part of why im staying neet, and also neet gives me more reason to ctb.

I was for a long time, I work full time now but I still hate my life. I guess it's nice to have a break from being at home by myself all the time but my job has no upward mobility and the pay is mediocre, so I still just feel like I'm waiting to die. I feel like for neets, even if we get a good career the damage is already done, I think all the social isolation and negative feelings from being left behind in life cause too much damage to recover from.

Honestly working dead end jobs just feels like being a neet with less free time lol, still no friends or social status, still undatable, just have more money and rent a room instead of living with my parents.

I think it is because we are raised to believe that we have to be productive all the time, so not having a job lowers self esteem a lot even if the person doesnt want to live, at least
feels like its part of society in some way, and most people dont like others that arent "productive" (unless you are rich, because you know, rich people get a free pass even though
they dont contribute anything to society) so the guilt stacks up to the point of ctb just to not feel like a burden.

Im neet too because getting a job wouldnt fix any of the problems I have, if some things in my past didnt happen I would have no problem working but Im just too broken

Im neet for most of my life, i think those who are not NEET find meaning in their skills, their jobs, their friends, they go on to build careers , get married, have kids, buy houses, work towards promotions, have family bbqs on sundays etc. So they dont have time to be depressed.

While we have no meaning or value and no distraction, we are just wallowing in despair and have empty minds as they devils playground which leads us to ctb as we literally have no reason to live . People who have normal lives get depressed but for the most part have others/ goals / skills / careers / families / properties etc to pull them back in .

I think that it's common for those who are NEET to be suicidal, as I just think the reality is that not everyone is meant for this world and that is just a fact of life. Not everyone is suited for this world which is focused around wage slavery, and I think that many people are NEET due to circumstances that they have limited control over.

Suicide should be accepted as being a rational option because of this, people shouldn't be expected to continue to endure a life that they never even wished to endure, but of course this would mean that the society would lose so many of their workers who would choose to be free from a life where they exist just to suffer.
