What is it like to see single and clearly?

Hey everyone, here's how my visual impairment presents now after Atropine is fully out of my system.

I will upload two pictures of how the eye turn presents itself for the left and right one.

Also, a short video will be shown as well.

My pupils are smaller because with Atropine they induce dilation.

Also, it's a symptom of having a spasm of the near reflex (SNR) which I'm currently dealing with.

If anyone has any advice or has dealt with something similar, feel free to respond or comment as I'm open to all assistance.

I'm going for disability benefits either way, for context without Atropine it's like I'm half-blind and have low vision unfortunately when my eyes turn in.

I can get rid of the double vision easily by closing an eye or wearing a patch but unfortunately deal with a strong blur daily which has not reduced at all.

It's like this GIF for context.

I recently bought a white cane to help when I go out to my appointments and it will be good as a tool to show providers how debilitating it can be and hopefully push for more treatment.

If anyone needs additional information or context, feel free to reply or send a direct message.

Thanks to the community for having great responses in chat and trying to help out, that means a lot.

Your eyes are beautiful, beautiful colors and your eyelashes are incredible I would have liked to have yours. Do they hurt you? I think it gives a charm (only if it doesn't hurt you ..) I hope it will get better ❤️

Aww thanks, that is super sweet.

My eyelashes are super long and I have received a lot of compliments about my eyes in the past which helps heal from the fact that I got them damaged through LASIK.

No, they don't hurt at all thankfully!

When an eyelash falls out and lands on my eyeball though it can be painful though.

I'm sure that you still look great regardless!

There's another person I know on SaSu who hates their brown eyes but I like all eye colors.

I think I'm cute but I would have been more beautiful with green eyes like yours, it's so absorbing, I'm going to read the WIKI page
Is it an operation supposed to repair your eyes that destroyed them? 😮

Slightly off topic, but I had a terrible eye infection 14 years ago. And I remember they made me take Atropine drops for almost a week, which made my pupils huge and I had to stay out of sunlight like some vampire lol

Thank you 😊 Yes, after the atropine drops my vision was very blurry and for some reason I wasn't able to focus on objects that were closer than 40-50cm away from me. I was extremely sensitive to bright lights too, and when people saw me they told me that I had scary looking eyes.

LASIK is an operation that in theory should boost your eyesight and get rid of the need for glasses but actually damages your eyes in the process.

There is no surgery unfortunately that can fix my condition but it is curable, thankfully dodged the bullet of getting an enhancement surgery which would have made everything worse.

LOL I got jumpscared by this picture!

I'm sorry to hear you went through that eye infection.

Here's another thread that showcases my visual impairment while I was on the Atropine 1% sulfate drops.

I'm glad that I stopped taking it honestly though and don't plan on doing so again.

There are too many side effects.

Atropine 1% sulfate drops actually clear my blur which puzzled a lot of providers.
