Hi. I'm planning to test my SN for purity, as it's nearing its expiration date, and I'm not certainly sure about how well it was preserved when stored, based on enviromental conditions. I'm also uncertain about its true purity. It's extremely high, indeed, as the label assures, but I'd like to make sure anyway. Better be safe than sorry in this matter. I currently don't possess any financial nor situational resources to access a testing kit securely or perform a PH strip, so I decided to do this the old-fashioned way—by mixing a pitful amount of my in vitro blood with a prepared solution. I was never academically smart when it comes to science, so I was hoping that I could access some help here regarding this matter. I am also aware that this test in no way can guarantee that my SN is truly of purity I require, but I still consider it as atleast something, and it might give me an idea about what I'm standing on in the end.
How much SN should I dissolve in how much water for a satisfying, evident result that would clearly show in, let's assume, half-a-teaspoon of blood?
