A few others were confirmed by people who found obits and knew the person's real name.

I am confident that most of the goodbye threads here are for real.
But there are also some fakes, - no proof though.

There is sadly a bunch of them-threads like 'this is my last post, I just took SN' hapoen all the time. I myself tried to talk a girl out of jumping in front of a train and contacted the police via an anonymous charity (NOT mentioning this site and maintaining its privacy) that I knew what had happened to a girl who ctbed in England somewhere and her family couldn't find her corpse for days.

It is VERY deadly, just a tiny amount will kill you.
Not easy to get, can't answer that question, not my method.

I'm not scared to ctb but I know I'll know when the time is right.. it's not something I'll organise.. I'll just know when I'm in too much of a dark place to get out and that it's time.
I know, unless something happens before like I get killed in a freak accident that I want to end my life myself. I'm 100% on that. This forum is the most comfort I've had in a long time, it feels like a little piece of sanity in an insane world.

I'm starting to overcome my family grief issue and my meto (for my SN method) is on the way. So no, I'll be another patient zero for the ever growing skepticism method of SN. A lot of people will question me, of course, which is why I want to expand our data over SN. I want to try something different about the method to prove its fatality and exorcise people's doubts about its effective.

If I survive, then I'll just jump into the river and drown myself. 6 -10 minutes of pain are better than 6 - 10 years of agony.

I'm trapped here because I'm afraid of failing and becoming a vegetable. It has very little to do with SI.

I've been on suicide forums for quite a while. And quite a few people do actually end their life. But many also don't. I would say more people stay alive than CTB, but even if 20 percent of people on this forum end up CTB that is a very high amount IMO.

I feel like there's a weird counter-effect to researching suicide. I have every intention to ctb but digging into the facts somehow gives me relief. It's like if I know it's possible anytime I want I feel a little better. For the moment.

Yeah this is a very common psychological effect to experience after realizing the power to end their life is in their hands. I personally have stopped worrying about dying an undignified death after attaining N.

I agree with this 100%.
Those who don't:

• Are afraid of failure and seriously messing themselves up for life (probably the biggest reason)
• Are afraid of what's on the other side
• Circumstances changed, and not so desperate to ctb anymore (give life another chance)
• Have children or loved ones who they can't bear the thought of hurting
• Can't overcome their survival instinct

I am sure there are others, but those come to mind.
So just because a person does not ctb, it does not necessarily mean they don't WANT to.
They just have one or more reasons holding them back.
As a person becomes more desperate, it becomes easier to ignore what is holding you back.
