People can be sex addicts and have a ton of meaningless sex and be suicidal. I don't think there's a correlation.

i know if i was having regular sex i wouldn't be as suicidal as i am i'd have something to look forward too

I also doubt there's a correlation. Don't be too quick to see one even if the results seem to indicate it as so. Even if I were having regular sex, I can safely say that I would still be moving towards ctb. Sex does not make a life. It can only be part of a life. Heck, if having sex were the determiner whether someone wanted to commit suicide, then half the married men over 60 would be offing themselves.

I guess it depends on the quality of the relationship. I know a lot of people in relationships miserable and many people here have been married and CTB. But having a good, loving relationship can make a difference a lot to some people's life. If you know where to find one let me know lol.

If I could have consequence-less cartoon sex I would not be suicidal, but the aftermath of sexual activity can have many after effects involving people's lives. It can affect their reputation. Extortion, sexual diseases, pregnancy and pregnancy termination, rape allegations etc. are also potential consequences of sexual activity.

its not really very accurate. are they suicidal because they are or arent? considering theres r*pe, having sex isnt always a positive so simply "are you having s*x" doesnt prove anything.

The body can have reactions but no one enjoys being raped ffs. That's a pretty horrible rape encouraging comment that some women liked to be raped when most describe it as losing their souls and can have trauma their entire life because of it.
It's also really horrible to post in the group because women have committed suicide over being raped and your comments are sick and could effect someone.

I do not make love since 2/3 years, I had some meaningless sex maybe 2 or 3 times in that period. I would like to feel close and intimate again with my soulmate but I do not think it will happen again in my life, that train is long gone. The way you pointed it is what is questionable. I would agree with a couple things openly that getting the validation is what humans need and these things work if they are healthy that's true and those who are getting validated already wouldn't value it as much while they could possibly go crazy just like how you don't have control on some things. About the women she probably had the same thing. Victim of abuse doesn't realise they are being abused. No matter if she enjoys it now or not she may not be interested in vanilla but this doesn't mean the consent is not needed. If you want it then you ask for it and then only we can proceed? Victims even feel it was there mistake and some actually feel they deserved it and they start self harm and being vulnerable to dangerous people. Trauma can make you go crazy too.

I tried Plenty of Fish many years ago and most of the men who were in the area, I didn't find interesting. I've met a couple for coffee and a chat, found them to be completely self absorbed and gave off too many red flags. Basically, in this rural region, most marry early to their high school sweetheart. Rarely do they get divorced. Any single males that are left, by the time they're my age, are single for an awful reason and no one wants them. A couple of men have asked me to have an affair with them and I have declined. A number of creepy guys, who oozed sleeze from every pore, have turned up in my driveway, saying, 'You're single, right? Want a fuck?' Then called me a bunch of expletives when I've declined. I don't think they've even heard of soap, they were that gross.
Because I live in a lower socioeconomic region of rural Victoria, men from neighbouring shires, like Mt Alexander or Hepburn, don't want anything to do with me since my shire is very much associated with meth and violent crime; without even knowing me, they see a postcode and assume that I'm like that too *sigh*. However, on the other side, those that know my father owned a popular shop in Vincent St, Daylesford (gentrified rural town), Victoria, suddenly only want to have a relationship with me in the hopes I might help them climb the social ladder in Hepburn or My Alexander, shires. I don't want to be used. Like me for who I am as a person or jog on. Can't win.

A complicated question for sure. Here's my take:
I think that women who have a lot of casual sex with different partners are more likely to be suicidal, compared to the men who fuck around a lot, who are usually quite satisfied with their lives. That's because it's much harder for women to get properly satisfying casual sex, and they are often doing it to satisfy some other need, like a need for attention and admiration or brief companionship. Which could point to the possibility of certain personality disorders or other mental disorders in these women acting as a catalyst for seeking these casual encounters. For most men, casual sex is enough to bring them to orgasm, so these encounters are enough to satisfy them sexually, simple as that.
I think that men who have very little sex/don't get to have sex at all, are more prone to being suicidal. Goes without saying. There are very few women who wouldn't get to have sex at all. That doesn't mean that the partners they have available for them would be satisfying to them in any way.
In a nutshell, i think that healthy and happy males tend to fuck around and like it too, healthy and happy women tend to seek a relationship with a partner who's able to satisfy their needs, sexual or otherwise. I'm not saying that there would be no males looking for a committed relationship with a one partner, nor that there would be no women who wouldn't genuinely enjoy having lots of casual sex.
What i'm saying, is that looking at the biological differences between sexes, men are much more likely to have their needs met in those casual encounters, whereas women usually need a more long term commitment to be properly satisfied, whether its pure sexual pleasure they are seeking or something else.
So i would presume that with men, the level of their sexual activity, whether it's in casual encounters or in a committed relationship, pretty straightforwardly correlates with the level of their suicidality, whereas with women it's a bit more complicated than that. I would guess that with women, a high level of sexual activity in a committed relationship would point to less suicidality, whereas high level of sexual activity centered around casual relationships could point to either direction.
This is just from the top of my head, i don't have any data to back any of this.
