i do, boxing gave me hope that i could escape all of my problems but the boxing gym that i go to has been closed since the march lockdown and if i wanted to go to some other gym there would be a 2 meter social distancing rule like yea whatever thats a total joke and just shows how pathetic the world is. Working out at home is good but just hides the fact that im depressed and want to kill myself exercise is like taking anti depressants it makes people happy but doesnt fix their problems overall

I do warm-up and stretching exercises occasionally, helps with back pain. I used to work with weights back when the feel good hormones made it worth my while. When I started feeling worse off instead, I've abandoned the weights. I think it's kinda funny that to benefit from exercises one has to be healthy enough already.

I'm so embarrassed about being me that I don't get close to anyone, ever. So it's self-inflicted loneliness, I guess. I run away if an interaction goes beyond surface-level superficialities. Fitness goals just give me something to concentrate on and look busy with until I find a way out.

Exactly same here. Self-inflicted loneliness stemming from being ashamed of being different , not so successful, uglier, etc. At least we have exercise and other copes at hand.

I have no motivation anyway but even if I tried to exercise I would just self sabotage. If I even think about it there is a surge of self hatred...you're fat and useless, you won't do it right, you should have started 10 years ago etc...

I'm well aware that zero exercise is bad for me but if I'm going to CtB anyway then it doesn't matter.

I do gym (or outdoor workout) 3 x a week and often go for a run once or twice as well. I do feel good after but at the moment I feel like absolute shit and don't know if I can continue with it.

I walk most days. Sometimes it helps the depression. Wish I had someone to walk with sometimes.

I try to lift weights every day because I'm really unhappy with how my body looks. Sometimes I'll miss a day or two though because I don't have a lot of motivation.

I've been exercising frequently for almost a year and it doesn't really do much, but I'm afraid to let go of the habit. I think that exercise is only good for some people, like any other hobby. It certainly isn't universal if it doesn't improve my mood.

Finding a job or love is out of my control.
What kind of job? Any, or something specific/desirable?

As for love, that's a tough one, and a road I've been down. The harder you look, the harder it is to find. It's easier to be loved when you love yourself, minus the cliche. That's the conclusion I came to and started working on being comfortable with me.

I do circus style hula hooping and back bending/acro yoga stuff. But I'm zapped of the desire to make myself do any of it right now...and I haven't seen outside in a while. Minus a store trip once a week but that's in and out.

Im not really in the position to be a choosing beggar, so any job would do.

I'm just back home from my daily 20
000 steps walk, but tonight I don't feel any better.

I walk 6 miles per day with my dog, and I ride my horse most days. I sometimes squeeze a run in, but mostly not due to tiredness (and knees).

I walk to my car everyday and drive to shop on corner. I hardly ever get to a 1000 steps a day. Gone pretty lazy recently, I need to snap out it. Working nights doesn't help.

OK that's pretty cool. How'd you get into that? Is that an outside sort of thing?

I picked it up out of nowhere many years ago. It was really fun and got me out there performing and traveling. I kind of wasted away my late teens-early 20's doing that instead of actually starting my life..so I have mixed feeligs lol.The hooping can be done indoors or outdoors I prefer to do everything indoors though.

I used to go to the gym years ago and used to walk a lot. Like 20k steps a day at times. But now my exercise involves waddling to the fridge and back.

I try it on and off. I do go mountain biking from time to time and I have tried lifting weights. Lack of motivation makes it all pretty hard for me.

I went jogging today at a nearby track. It knocked me on my ass didn't do anything rest of the day I was so beat lol! But lately been wanting to start calisthenics in morning or exercise without equipment. I figured YouTube vids that do a routine without equipment required. I have to work out because I feel really bad when I don't. I'am far more depressed when I don't work out.

Yea that night work stuff is terrible for u. I remember how bad I felt because I worked late nights. Could barely function rest of the time.

I do, I enjoy the pain associated with it. For me it's kind of like a healthy alternative to self harm.

I did fitness boxing for a bit few years back and it was really fun. I have a hard time making long term commitments though so I dropped it. I've been meaning to go for more walks and stuff and maybe get back into boxing but idk.

I don't necessarily mean, who goes to the gym. Who out there takes regular walks, bike rides, yard work, etc?

I'm in a funk today, and I think it's because I've been rather lazy the past few weeks. I haven't been keeping up with the yard, I haven't been out on the bike, all of things I've been "working on" have stagnated. As a result my diet has been poor, and my mind has been punishing me.

What about you? Do you actively try to get outside, or get yourself moving? Anything you've been putting off?
I have exercised to the extreme for the last 16 years, I am FN tired. Apparently it is not all is it cracked up to be.
I actually started working out because I read that women that worked out were more receptive and kinder. Haha hah, yea that was BS, they are more competitive and just as nasty as all the mean girls I have known.

back in the day i used to lift weights 6 times a week; i was like a bodybuilder. probably the best i've felt in my entire life tbh. of course it was while using steroids. i've tried lifting seriously without steroids before; it really sucks and i'd never do it again; constantly sore with little to no results month after month; not really sure how anyone can exercise like that; it was very depressing and discouraging.

i've bought three 80 pound bags of concrete and some thick wooden dowels. planning on making 25s, 40s, 60s, 80s lb dumbells. been thinking it'd be nice to look presentable again before i go. just a matter of getting started again which is easier said than done...
