Can you take your antidepressants/
antipsychotics on the same day and the previous ones before your attempt of suicide?
I mean it could cause complications using it while you try to ctb that day or not?
Or will you stop your medication a few days before ctb?
I'm taking vortioxetine and clonazepam right now and don't know what will I do when the moment comes.
So what are you gonna do?

Please the few of you that respond to this, just try to share your plans about it.

This is to collect information for us all and clarify doubts about it.

 to you all.

I don't know. I don't take my medication regularly anyway. I'm the most disorganised person in the world.

It depends on what your suicide method is. Hate to state the obvious, but your regular medications aren't likely to interfere with the lethality of jumping, gunshot or drowning. But if you're talking about a suicide using illicit drugs, poisons or prescription medications, then it might possibly be a factor. You would need to read up on your particular method and see what is mentioned. Note also the flipside of this - abruptly stopping regular medications can have side-effects that might be counterproductive to your suicide method or at the very least unpleasant.

If my method is SN:
For how long do you think I should stop taking vortioxetine then? It's an antidepressant.
Thanx

Your psych meds shouldn't make much of a difference.

Agreed that the psychiatric medications shouldn't have any notable effect on SN.

Running them through the drugs.com interaction checker shows no interactions. You would also want to add any additional SN protoctol medications (antiemetic, benzos etc) to this checker to see if they interact with the Vortioxetine, with the SN or with each other.

Note that any interactions found, even severe ones, aren't necessarily a deal-breaker. Interactions that lower the effectiveness of a given medication may be important (especially if that medication is SN or the antiemetic), whereas interactions that only cause unpleasant side-effects only need to be tolerated for the relatively short period of time between taking the medication and dying from the SN.
