I'm looking at maybe storing a cup sized water bottle containing SN for a little while. Just wondering if that would be possible or once the SN is dissolved you need to consume it quickly?

I very much want to know this, too. I'd like to have a stash on me wherever I go, just in case I need to use it immediately, before ctb. I'd read on here that it has to be refrigerated after coming into a solution. Something about the sn reacting in the water and making it less stable than in its powder form.

LLMs suggest:

Relatively stable in solid form, but when dissolved in water, its stability can be affected by several factors: temperature, light, oxygen exposure, ph, water or other contaminants, type of container.

Starting with a 99% powder mixed with water, it may remain above 95% concentration for a period of days to weeks under ideal storage conditions (cool, dark, and stable pH). The exact duration will depend on factors such as temperature, light exposure, and the presence of contaminants.

In less ideal conditions, the concentration could drop below 95% more quickly, potentially within hours to a few days. However, under optimal conditions, it is reasonable to expect that the solution could stay above 95% for at least several days.

If refrigerated, which slows down decomposition and other reactions, you might expect the solution to remain above 95% for weeks to potentially months, depending on the specific conditions (such as the purity of the water used, the container's exposure to light, and any contaminants). However, it's still advisable to monitor the solution and use it within a reasonable timeframe to ensure its effectiveness.

I'm not an expert at all, quite the opposite, but based on this stickied thread https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/stability-of-sn-and-n.151639/ the person wrote "This is a picture of an aquarium test strip that was used on SN that has been sitting in a bottle of tap water with a cap on for almost a year. previously it was believed you needed to use distilled water to insure sodium nitrite would breakdown into sodium nitrate at a much slower rate. considering this SN is still useable in very subpar conditions shows this is not the case as well as shows how stable it is as a compound." Does this not mean that even though the SN was sitting in the bottle for almost a year it's still usable? 🤔

I'm not an expert either. Still trying to learn all this. Unfortunately, looks like aquarium test strips can be unreliable as a testing method: https://sanctionedsuicide.site/threads/im-too-lazy-to-test-the-purity-of-sn.193747/. Without multiple tests, it's possible this was a false positive. Also if it was in tap water, other substances in the water could have interfered with the test strip reading, which is part of why we want to use distilled water to minimize interference.

This is where I'm stuck, too. I have multiple sn, just because I wanted to make sure I could find a good pure product, but testing is the hang up. No pun intended.

Yea I was to prepare it and go to a place at the water during summer to drink it maybe.
But almost making it "SN to-go" sounds like a new way to advert it lol
