There should be a money exchange place in the airport in Missasagua, during regular hours though. No real place would change at 3am say

If you cannot get a hold of a shelter you may be able to sleep in the airport. With modern security youll have to explain yourself and maybe have your passport number doced by security. Literally a few hours shouldnt be a big thing however

Can you get it out of you mf'ing head once you cross the border that's it. Your parents can't do anything. They legally can't do anything anyways once you leave (so long as you didn't steal anything) because you're an ADULT.

Another thing is fixing an accomodation in toronto.. right now I am in med school paid for by my dad.. without him I won't be able to continue my education. So, either I will have to pay the fees by myself or apply for loans.

I think the police will get me for stealing the car and the money. Not sure how to pay for the ticket without dad's money.

Few hours to a day would do, it's not like I'd be sitting at the same place. Toronto airports are busy all the time. I'll have to research a little more and then jump to toronto. I wouldn't have much time to do this however, another thing i can do is book an uber but that'd alert my dad again.

I need to plan this out properly and just do it.

If you can that'd be lovely, thank you. I don't mind waiting a few more days. I just wanna get out of this hell and live somewhere nice. Would've loved to live here in florida but I am on B1/B2 visa which means no one will hire me so I won't be able to sustain myself.

I'm from Florida actually, are you from US or somewhere else? How did you manage to get out of your situation and how were you able to find a job and everything to sustain yourself?

I just wanna disappear from my parent's life and live life on my own terms. I can't do that when my parents have such a tight control on me. If you can help me out by telling me how to move out of my house,that'd be great!!

I'm still working on that. I went to a psych ward twice and they put me on meds and look where I am. I got a job but I quit today and I'm going back to working at a daycare with my mom. I'm currently not doing so good and I'm depressed again. I'm starting up my meds again tho- I quit but I figured I should give it another go cuz I'm feeling like this

Do you naturally feel happy when you are on anti depressants? I'd love to know that too. Some people say it just creates more mental problems for them instead of solving anything. Worse, it also makes you depenedent on them

Well for now- yes and no. It stopped the depression but not an hour passed without thinking of suicide. It's weird- you're not sad but you're still ready to go. Depression takes up a lot of time so I guess I got more time to do things but I still wasn't happy with myself and the stresses of life

If no please please get your birth cert as it is needed for Ontario Works.
They will give you money just have all the docs possible at all

I wouldnt use cards internationally as some may not work, it is risky to depend on money you dont physically hold in your hand being there

You need a permanent residence to apply for OW. OP would struggle with that piece. OP can still access Covenant House (spelling?) in Toronto which helps people up until age 25 with housing, school, and employment.

OP will struggle once he reaches Pearson. How does he explain his one way ticket to Toronto without telling border agents why he's doing what he's doing. Flying into Toronto is not a good plan. Getting to Vermont/New York and walking across with the other migrants will at least allow OP to immediately access short term housing and health care.

If you're serious....
1) cash out all the money you can
2) withdrawal from school yourself (KEY)
3) research and plan to stay in New York State for at least 1 day
4) write a note that you're leaving and leave it behind, and take a photo of it & post it to social media somewhere as a record (legal KEY)
5) Drive to local bus terminal and purchase a ticket in CASH to Albany, NY
6) somehow get from Albany to Champlain (Urder? Taxi? Public Transit?)
7) walk across the border and say you're seeking asylum
8) discuss your situation with the federal officers in charge of your case (you won't be deported as you're a legal citizen of our country)
9) somehow get from Montreal to Toronto
10) access Covenant House for homeless youth and rebuild your life.

If you want to still CTB after step 10, don't let us stop you. But I have a solid plan for you to escape the grips of your parents, if you so wish to pursue it. I'm also like an hour outside DT Toronto, so I can be a friend if you need them.
