How long did it take you to decide on your method?
I'm struggling to make any firm decision yet. I have ideas. Feel in limbo. At times I feel unsure of being able to overcome SI, other times I wonder about finding a partner and still other times I'm almost sure I will be fine on my own and be able to overcome SI. Guess I'm not yet fully ready. I think once I've decided on my preferred method then things will fall into place.

In my case, I will likely choose the method that is the most accessible. It will likely be hanging as I do not have the courage for jumping. Of course I would rather have a peaceful death of course, but society denies us access to peaceful methods. I understand the SI is hard to overcome, as we are programmed to survive. It is what holds me back.

I'm deciding between SN and full / partial. Decided very quickly, maybe over the course of a few months. Hanging was the first I seriously considered after realizing that lethal drugs were not easy to get. I don't have the tenacity to obtain other means.

I second you here. If there'd been an option to go somewhere to get it done, I bet a lot of us would have gone a long, long time ago. Instead, we have to find a method we feel OK about. And wade through opinions and anecdotes to arrive at a decent idea of how to set everything up to work. Meanwhile, things get worse, life gets more expensive, but we're constantly being reminded we "have no rights" to [insert your pressing survival need that's been over-commodified to the point of being out of financial reach]. Still, the advice is not to commit suicide. <eye roll>

Anyhow, YES to preferred method and things falling into place.

I've chosen jumping. It feels right to me intuitively, and the only method I ever did 'feel to be right', in that sense - so there wasn't much consideration; every other method I had considered simply did not feel right. When the choice to leave truly cemented itself, so did the method. I've always felt very close to flying, soulfully, the thought of it, the idea of it. It reaches into me and touches on memories, awakens memories, and there is that unmistakable depth and feeling to that, which makes me quite certain I could fly in a past life, at home. I'd like to come as close to it as I can in this world, while leaving it.
And, on another level, I really love the idea of 'falling into home'. I've been wishing for that, and feeling like that, for most of my life, and I will, in some way, quite literally be doing that, then. :)

When I came on this forum and found out about N, then saw how easily you could get and execute it (vs. something like an exit bag or firearms) I decided immediately. That was around last year.

Previously I decided on exit bag because it was the only method I could find that didn't involve excessive pain or required getting over my extreme fear of heights.

i feel fentanyl combined with sn is pretty ideal and probably will be going with that. fent doesnt have to be injected you can buy patches and slap them on the roof of your mouth the inner side of your cheek. somebody posted that idea and it should be fairly cheap and easy way

I've been reading a bit about N and SN. Someone mentioned N to me recently in PM and said should be easy enough to get in UK. Going to look into more. Didn't know about it either until I saw on here about it.

I'll check these out. I'm always nervous about wading into the dark web, but there don't seem to be any other options for getting enough FNT otherwise. :( I like the idea of slipping away sleepily, easily. Thanks for sharing.

Im Just trying to find something I am confident in. Something I am sure will 100% work and be painless and Irreversible that I could pull off. Moneys an Issue and apartments small so limited with things like hangings :/

Partial was my method until I tried several times, unsuccessfully. I might have more success if I buy a better ligature though. SN is my primary method now simply due to its availability and (relative) unpleasantness. Not ideal though considering some sources say it takes up to 8 hours to ctb
