How important is SN purity?

Is it completely necessary for SN purity to be >95% for it to work? Would the attempt still work if you used a lower percentage but a larger amount, because surely you would still be taking in the same amount of SN?
I'm planning to order some SN off this slightly sketchy looking website, which claims it's >99% but it I don't really trust it and I don't want to take any risks in case the actual % is lower

Logically speaking, it would be strange if 95% or 99% made a significant difference that couldn't be accounted for in the measurement. SN is potent.

I think the question is a bit weird though. You're talking about not taking risks then in the same breath you say you're ordering from a sketchy website. Anytime you order anything from a sketchy website with nobody vouching for it, then there is inherent risk. You'd have to test it yourself to know anything about the product, that's the bottom line.

I should think it would work at 95% purity. But I would want to know first what the other 5% was. Something inert or harmless? Or somethng very nasty? If you don't know, I would suggest you don't take any chances.

I would also like to know about this. I have SN from LD and they claim it's 99% pure but then it also says technical grade on the bottle and website so I'm wondering if I got scammed. Technical grade is like 85-90% pure.

Is 85-90% pure enough to CTB with or should I order from CCS? I can't screw this attempt up. I have 450 grams so maybe I can just take more than 25 grams and still CTB.

I saw a thread of someone who CTB with it and the unconsciousness took a long time to happen (around 40 min). A person said that a possible reason for this was that the SN wasn't pure enough, so I think that would be one of the consequences.
As AcidBurn said, it's better if you find SN that is 95% pure or more. Otherwise, the consequences might be unpredictable and you wouldn't die in a peaceful way cause you would feel the effects of the component on your body.

SN stands for sodium nitrite (nitrite not nitrate btw)
