I am making a 2nd version of this but in better detail so you can understand how I got the tourniquet method to work for me.

Things you will need for this
- Long socks (not the thick winter ones)
- The tourniquet
- Preferrably a quiet and isolated place incase you make a lot of noise in the process

1. Long socks

I remember being asked if its polyester or cotton and I don't think the material matters unless you are using the super thick socks which won't work. First step you will want to do is fold the socks 2x and if you want, tuck your chin and put the socks where the carotid would be. If you don't know where the carotid is use your fingers to find a pulse in your neck area. The carotid is located right next to the tracea.
2510857 carotid artery neck pain 1296x1324 body 1002x1024

2. Tourniquet

If you decided not to do the long socks first. Lightly wrap the tourniquet around your neck first then tuck your neck in to fit the socks in if you haven't already then once you get that finished you can finally not tuck your neck in anymore. Finally, tighten the tourniquet tightly as possible and tighten the black handle then as fast as possible, try to something to anchor the handle onto like the white piece where the blank time thing is and ANCHOR IT good.

3. Find a super isolated area (optional)

If you have roommates I would recommend this because you may potentially make a lot of noise and have a convulsion like I did when I tested this.

Bonus

If you're just intending to test this and not CTB yet, just anchor the black handle to your chin and don't go full on with tightening the tourniquet and yes, you will still faint but you might have a small period of consciousness and that is your last chance to remove the tourniquet. You will also experience not wanting to get up or struggling to get up and seizure like symptoms which means the method is working and you only have a short period of time before you die.

This is also very cheap, most tourniquets are $15-40 and doesn't take much to buy so basically almost anybody could afford it.

I would also recommend using something to kill survival instinct such as alcohol, xanax, benzos, etc

I'm curious. Can this be like the night night method where instead of using a tourniquet you use a rachet strap?

What's the pain level.
2/10
Why did you shout ? Is the pain too much ?
No

Shout? I am assuming you are refering to when I made a lot of noise, all of that noise was involuntarly because I was in a convulsion
Also , it would work only if put in the right place, if placed slightly above or below...it won't work right?
I placed it towards the middle but Idk might not test for another while bc I know it did some brain damage

What kind of tourniquet did you use? And also do you put both of the socks on top of your common carotid artery and you kinda just stack them on top or you put each sock in the internal and external carotid artery?

Dude! I've been watching the other thread, and this missed this new one!

So this is basically the same thing I have done, but with a tourniquet instead of a ratchet... Since you say you didn't get that feeling where the head seems to explode, I'm thinking maybe it's the dimensions of the folded sockets that made the difference... The rest is practically the same...

I'll take pictures of what I made and post them here, to see how different it is from your stuff and correct it, if that OK with you...

Thanks!

This is one of the only methods I would say are nearly painless, I'm not sure if your conclusions were painful but I'm assuming they weren't and they we're just a physiological response.

I've been considering this with a box of Benz.
Worst case scenario I'm stuck in hell with the hat Man.

Maybe I'm missing something but i get a bit lost at the end of the "Tourniquet" section of this - what's the black handle? The white piece blank time what? I can't visualise the set up from around there.

Should a photo be showing for me that isnt?

Mine has a black handle you turn after tightening the tourniquet strap

The white thing has the "Time : XX" and I anchored the handle under there

Are you overweight by chance (I dont mean to be offensive by this)

Ok black handle I follow but still not clear on the white "thing" ? Is it a part of the tourniquet?

Lookup "tourniquet" on your favorite image search, It'll all become clear... It's rather simple: The black handle looks like a pen, and it's the thing you twist to stop the blood loss (in its original use), and the "white thing" is just a label where the first responders write down the time the device was first applied, to let the doctors know when the operation was done... But it situated on the part of the device that stops the handle from going back, so that the pressure isn't released.

I'm sorry but I don't seem to Understand The Cartoid Parts. I had trouble with the Tourniquet 'white timer' thing But more Context in the Comments cleared that Up and I'm using a Cable Charger with a Big spoon anyways. I thought there were 2 Cartoid Arteries for both the Left Side and Right Side of the Neck and 1 double or triple folded Sock would've been used for each of the Arteries. But now there's the Common Artery? And you have to put 2 socks on a single artery? What? It also sucks that there's no Clear cut Example Anywhere or A Clear anatomy guide on Youtube.

I also have trouble Locating my Carotid arteries (the instructions are simple but I guess my Body is just Weird as hell) but I guess I can solve that. Maybe a Tighter Set-up or Better Sock positioning….Idk. Just Kindly help me out with the Cartoid Confusion. I'm so desperate and so Tired. I want to Catch the Bus/Log Out before HSC tests.

I am wondering how does this work if the vertebral arteries around occluded? If you are just occluding the carotids, if you have a complete circle of willis, you will still perfuse your entire brain through collateral flow through the PCOMMs. Not everyone has the connection though and occluding the carotids would stop blood flow to the entire anterior circulation, but still not the brain stem.

II wonder if this is why some people survive hanging while others don't. I see a lot of failed hangings as a radiologist come in. Going to start noticing if they all have complete circle of willis. I wonder if the anatomy you have makes a difference. Kind of worried I'd have a complete circle and be able to get enough blood flow. Unless the rope compresses the proximal verts too if you have it low enough?

What about soft padding on the back and sides of the neck? The front has folded socks and the rest has a fat winter sock under the tourniquet. Would that make it less painful?

No, do not use the thick winter socks for this maybe unless you are very large sized.

I'm skinny with a long neck. I just don't want the tourniquet to bite into the skin on the back of my neck.

This is all good as long as you're not very overweight. I used to be able to get to the point of blackout easily but since I put on a lot of weight, neither a wide dressing gown cord nor the army tourniquet works no matter what I put under them. They just compress my windpipe now. Tried with shoelaces pulled as tight as I could and knotted in place but they just compressed the jugular and gave me a horrible headache. Chatgpt says narrow ligatures are best if you're fat because it puts more pressure on a smaller area but I'm sure anything thinner than a shoelace will snap or (eg wire) hard to tie. So night-night is out for now which is a shame because it suits my impulsive nature. Now on a one-meal-a-day diet to get all this fat off me.

How did you get rid of the exploding head feeling?

Also how did you angle the socks? Did you angle it vertically or horizontally?

Tried different thicknesses of socks and rolled up into different shapes, then tried those plastic bottles you get chewing gum in. ChatGPT says a thinner ligature will help if you're fat but I tried a shoelace and although it managed to cut off the jugular veins (that really hurts your head) it still didn't cut off the carotid arteries. I may try again some time with something else but left it for now. Trying to lose weight but it's hard because I binge eat.
