Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Has having a suicide method lined up made you feel better or worse? My therapist said having an out lined up hinders the possibility of recovery. What are your experiences?

It's helped me be patient enough to even give recovery a chance without going insane every second of the day. It's nice to know where the eject button is should I want to use it.

Getting this close has actually shown me that there are still other options to try, so I disagree with your therapist.

Edit: Getting this close also helped me find this place and seeing/getting to know people who are like me and think in a similar fashion. It has made me feel less alone and that wouldn't have happened. IRL I haven't found any of you. :)

Interesting. I think I'm gonna try the same strategy. May I ask what your backup plan is?

It's honestly helped a ton. I'm actually waiting on something to be delivered so I could do it if I wanted. I feel more relaxed and just living in the moment. Either I can fix my life from where I am or I don't have to worry about it anymore. I can understand the argument that it can hinder recovery and all that. BUT, I think it can also help in a sort of backwards way. It just depends, I suppose.

still suffering each day, but wow, its really taken the edge off quite a lot, all the things that hurt me dont really "matter" anymore because theyre just for the time being, i dont have to stress about my future, whether its relational or occupational, because i wont be around much longer, of course i still do worry, but i can actually have moments of peace in my days now

By backup plan, I assume you're referring to my 'eject-button'. It's either a very fancy well comprised cocktail of pharmacueticals or SN. I have both ready to go. SN being the one that will last me longer.

having that ability to go whenever is deeply freeing
basically a huge weight lifted off my shoulders

life is a bit more bearable now
but I can see why recovery would be more difficult with a plan in place

why recover when you can leave? type deal

That is what I meant. I'm trying to get ahold of SN myself. I feel like I kinda missed the train on that one as it gets harder and harder to find. I might've been able to figure it out before the mental issues began to degrade my rational mind. Still gonna try though.

From one side, it made me feel "at peace" because I knew I had the choice to just do it if I felt I couldn't keep going. But on the other hand it also made me feel anxious because the possibility felt more present, and I couldn't get it out of my head. So even when I started feeling better, the ideation remained in the back of my mind. I guess it depends on each case.
