Help how does this work .......

i would like to interact and make friends with others on this site however im extremely unexperienced with forums so im not sure what i need to do to get access to certain things (like visiting other profiles). please enlighten me on the steps i need to take to have permission to follow/interact with others (im guessing it entails posting more, or being more active on the site). any help would be greatly appreciated, redirections to wherever I can learn how ss work would also be great.

im not even sure if creating a thread is appropriate for this.
