I can't eat meat, I just can't... It tastes awful, like something I wasn't designed to eat. Plus, knowing everything they do to these poor animals, I just can't eat...
I eat mostly lentils and soy, I love the taste of it! I like to make braised lentils with plenty of spice and sometimes carrot ^.^ tastes very good and has plenty of protein.
But I understand that sometimes, people just can't stop eating it for a variety of reasons. Once I got touch with an ASD person that had selective food disorder (idk if that's the correct name). They wouldn't eat almost any vegetable. So meat was the only option most of the time.
I wish society could abandon meat gradually. Like, making a goal to stop farm factories and substantially reduce meat consumption. But that won't happen, so people buying and eating meat for individual consumption is ok ig. Not like it will change anything.
Some people might need it for health reasons. Personally, the only issue I have is with the B-complex vitamins. I had to take B12 supplement, and nowadays my B12 is higher than most people's.
I also don't eat eggs, but unfortunately I eat milk derivatives, but my mom buys milk anyway so it's not like I have the power to not buy it.
