I would love to use a peaceful method, but everything seems to difficult to get that I'm considering more violent options (train or bridge, mainly). However, I can't get through because I can't avoid thinking about the amount of people who will be traumatized either witnessing the event or having to recognize my body. I just can't take this anymore, but I can't find a way out either. I'm desperate. Thanks for reading.

Using a train or a bridge is brutal to others. You could deeply traumatize the train driver or anyone who witnesses it. I once read about a driver who experienced 20 suicides on his tracks, he had to take early retirement and now drinks every day just to try and block out the faces that still haunt him.

I know, that's why I'm so desperate. I don't want to do something like that, but I can't find a peaceful way either. Again, I'm desperate.

the thing is though, it isn't like most people WANT to traumatize other people when checking out.. a lot of times there just aren't easy (or at least not obvious) methods and so people have to go through this labyrinth of trying to figure out how to get the materials to do certain methods and then a labyrinth of trying to figure out how to set it up and use the materials correctly so they don't mess it up.....

there is one weird "method" (in the PPH book) where you get a plane ticket to switzerland, pay $20,000 (in USD) and they help you CTB through like drinking nembutal and maybe some other options.. so that's "easy" sort of except it's expensive..

most places in the world it's like, if you want to check out then you're just on your own and basically the society is trying to force you to live no matter what situation or pain or suffering you are going through....... just continue your suffering until you are 99 years old mate lol...... that's what most societies expect you to do these days..

That is something I really don't understand about our society, prolonging people's suffering. I was so angry when they kept my mother in the hospital after her heart stopped from a blood clot in her lungs. The doctors said she was braindead and that there was nothing more they could do. But instead of letting her go, they kept her hooked up to tubes until her body completely failed. It makes no sense. I still remember the forced breathing of the machine; it sounded like Darth Vader. To me, it just felt like a medical experiment. I wanted to unplug the machine instantly. If there is nothing left to do, just let them go.

I agree. Others want us to live just to avoid fear of loss.
To answer the question of the thread, personally it's pure sadness + being stuck without healthy environment and futur.

I would love to share but I'm new and I'm not sure about the rules about sharing too much about methods :(

Most people's suicides are very preventable as well. Wouldn't require too much effort to help them. They just pretend to care

In my experience (hah, experience, the irony) the reason I couldn't do it was because suicide, however rational, violates every survival instinct in your body. You can buy the materials in advance, but you can't really choose the moment I think. You can only be prepared when the impulse to do it hits, and if you don't work up the nerve to do it then, you won't be able to go through with it. I think suicide in general has to be done impulsively, in order to override this instinct. They call it catching the bus for a reason - if you miss it, you have to wait for the next one
