It was inspired by Negative Utilitarianism (a philosophy that focuses on reducing suffering in the world). One of the "criticisms" was that if it was put into practice, "a ruler who is able to instantly and painlessly destroy the human race, "a benevolent world-exploder," would have a duty to do so". When I read that my first thought was - sounds good to me!

My username is just a carry over from when I first signed up on reddit (several years ago) for the SS subreddit (before it got banned). It really is just random as I don't want my real identity or anything IRL to be associated with ctb (for personal and safety reasons). Nowadays I either just go by 'throw_away', 'TAW122', 'a_way', or 'thrw_a_way1221221'. Though my preference is TAW122 because it is short yet is unique enough not to be ambiguous with other names that contain 'throw away' in them.

I can tell you the true origin ;) when I was a kid I watched a lot of xfactor and I was obsessed with this guy called Rhydian. So thats where I got the "rhy" from and I just sort of made up that name and it stuck. Haha. In my head it's pronounced like the riddler. It has no deep hidden meaning ;)
