Not just you :) ... I'm shooting my brains out many times a day... Which is weird because realistically I wouldn't even prefer that method.

Damn near all the time. It's just a constant noise in my head that's been there ever since early adolescence. Rarely it'll go away for a short time and I can briefly enjoy the mental peace, but it always returns.
