I really don't understand it how someone who is not a child can feel happy.
When you grow up you understand how flawed life is, you can't even go to playgrounds or play lego to be happy, it literally feels like a completely other way to see the world opposed to how a child sees the world and it feels so wrong to me in any way even if I would have no problems I hate it how it feels to not be a child so much.
Back then things made fun and everything felt like an adventure and now it feels like I have no purpose.
My childhood was disgusting but the perception of the world was so much better.

Yeh we live in such a screwed up world our parents and teachers have to actively shield us from most of it for the first decade of our life until we're mature enough to deal with it. I will never be able to deal with this world.

By cherishing the small things. At least, that's what the shrooms told me last trip.

Sure, the world is a shit hole. But there is also beauty around. Beyond the concrete jungle there are pockets of greenery and life in parks and the outdoors. And in those parks there are families and businesses, each in a microcosm of their own lives.

Maybe it's a quart of icecream you have home, or your pets, or friends, or videogames, or movies or books, or that silly interaction at work. There is a lot of menial stuff to trudge through but there is also stuff to appreciate.

As adults, at least we can appreciate more complex tastes. Call me mundane and boring, but I enjoy buying different wheat beers and tasting different brands, or listening to different artists of the same specific metal genre.

It's a balance. Of being an adult, working and going through shit life throws at you, but also not letting your spirit die.

I hope you get to reconnect with your inner child in some form. Hugs šŸ«‚

It's a blur, This world has put everything to its place, and we are in no position or control to change the road life has made us walk into, even though it's harsh and cruel, but thinking enough, it's just the trait of it,It isn't just "harsh" "cruel" but life just being the way it is

That's why some people keep seeking some comfort to cling in but in the end it's all just a distraction, and the truth won't change, and it can't ever will

I will always remember, that hiding won't make everything go away from me

By cherishing the small things.
Everything is the same what should I cherish?
Beyond the concrete jungle there are pockets of greenery and life in parks and the outdoors.
I don't care about nature if you mean that.
Maybe it's a quart of icecream you have home
I like sweets but I am addicted to good tasting food.
or your pets
My dog died.
or friends
I don't have friends, most people I know irl bullied or abused me.
or videogames
Doesn't make fun anymore, just feels like work, I can't mentally connected with it anymore.
or movies or books
I am too hyperactive for that.
or that silly interaction at work
I have no job.
As adults, at least we can appreciate more complex tastes.
We can do more complex stuff but it makes less fun.
I hope you get to reconnect with your inner child in some form.
My inner child got murdered.

I am beginning to think that depression is just seeing the reality in it's fullest without a filter.

Fair enough. I think we have very different views of the world and not much common ground. Much is the same indeed, but a different perspective helped me. Wish you the best.

Great question. How can any adult be happy knowing that you can work a full time job for the rest of your life and still cant afford a house by yourself. What a joke world.

Many adults are happy due to finding a good job, a good partner, etc they have the money to spend and enjoy life, some people can't ever achieve this, I'm one of them, maybe in my next life shit will be better. I wish I could live to my older years and be happy

To me happiness doesn't even exist. I see existing as being something so dreadful and futile but as well as that there is endless potential for suffering. I find it tiring just being conscious and aware, trapped in the flesh prison that is the human body with no relief from ourselves just waiting to decay and die. I see non-existence as being the only relief, only not-existing appeals to me, I just think that existence was a terrible mistake in the first place.
