Tried posting with vent tag but maybe help tag is better? Has anyone had bad withdrawal symptoms from forgetting medication and know what to do?? I feel awful, nausea, dizziness, bad bad vertigo. I will be able to take my medication in an hour or so and hopefully symptoms will improve but need help until then. So close to just overdosing on every medication I have just to end it all. Please help. Before joining I saw so many kind responses and am confused why my posts have no replies. No blame just wondering if I'm doing something wrong anyways pls help if you have experience with such.

It depends on what meds. I'm no doctor at all. My meds are SSRIs and if I miss a dose then yeah I fall hard. It's hardcore. If I realise later in the day I take it. Otherwise the next day and it's rough. Takes time to balance out again. Hang on in there. But it's hell, the anxiety and mind spirals.

How are you now?

I've never had bad withdrawals from accidentally forgetting meds since I take them on time if I miss a dose, but skipping them on purpose gave me horrible withdrawals. If you forget, just take them at your usual time and try your best to rest up as much as you can
So close to just overdosing on every medication I have just to end it all.
please don't.. the chances of you successfully ODing on meds are slim to none

High doses of both Lamotrigine and Trazodone. I think the Trazodone is the worst for withdrawals. Hardcore is definitely accurate, I feel like I'm dying slowly and painfully but just hearing back is helpful. I'm glad I'm not just screaming into the void. I've missed them before but this time seems worse than others for whatever reason. Thanks for responding.

I won't I know it wouldn't work, I just wish it would. Thanks for linking the posts though.

I don't experience physical symptoms of withdrawal, but I have learned that 24 hours after missing a dose of my antidepressants, I'm generally okay, but shit hits the fan 42-48 hours after if I miss a second dose in a row. I get anxious and paranoid and spiral down fast and I indulge it like I don't want it to stop. I don't want it to stop. I've skipped doses as a form of self harm. I've thought about using this to push myself over the edge when it's time for me to go.

How long has it been? It's been like 41 hours since I last took mine and I feel like I am currently dying it's horrible. I'm hoping I will recover quickly once I take them but have to wait like an hour to my normal time. I wish if I had to suffer this badly I would actually die at the end.

Like so many other family members here have said, I am no doctor.

If it was me, I would go to an emergency room at a hospital in a flash. Reason? No tapering on a high dosage might be shorter time frame and may not, every person is different in this.

I am crying writing this, as I have had issues before, withdrawal from opioids, when they messed up my scheduling one time and it was HELL. Please go to er and get help, as I cannot stand to think of you hurting at all.

I cannot afford the ER unfortunately. I think I will be alright I just took my regular dose at the time I normally do so hopefully I will feel at least mostly better in the morning. As far as I can tell missing a singular dosage of either med at even a high dose is not life threatening. If I do not feel better when I wake up I will definitely go to the ER then. I'm going to try to sleep but I will write an update in the morning about how I feel.

I appreciate your concern, it is incredibly comforting to know that there are people here who care so deeply.
