I've been searching online for how long hydrogen sulfide stays in the air and most websites seem to say it breaks apart and gets carried away by the wind after three days. I can't find anything saying how long it takes to go inside a closed space though like tent. I would prefer to use an air bnb but I'm very concerned about other people potentially getting hurt by the gas. How can I make sure the gas goes away after I ctb?

It's hard to control gas motion. At best you can seal all vent holes in a room and hope it wont escape. You can investigate how fumigators do their jobs, in the past they applied hydrogen cyanide in living accommodations

For this method you would need to isolate youself from the gas until it has reached a certain concentration, task that would require the use of an H₂S detector for sure (otherwise you are doing dangerous guesswork), and the problem is, that H₂S detectors range rarrely goes over 100ppm (and you want to measure 1000ppm!).

This method is not considered peaceful and is unrecommended in the PPeH.
