• Hey Guest,

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Go out and breath deep, try to lay down and drink some water. Look around you and tell yourself the objects that you see. Put some relaxing songs or try to have a warm drink.

Also offtopic but i absolutely love your profile pic.

Thanks! It's a draconian, from the Dragonlance setting of DnD. They're a race that was created to be soldiers for the evil dragon queen, they're eventually screwed over by all the gods, yet they find females of their race and decide to keep trucking.

What's your profile based on?

For calming down quickly, I do a modified form of box breathing. Breathe in for five seconds, hold breath for seven seconds, and breathe out for five seconds. Repeat as needed, but it helps after a minute.

It doesn't fully help with long term anxiety, but it helps ground you in the moment for anything that needs to be done in the short term.

For sleep specifically, after calming myself, I close my eyes and daydream and let my mind wander through various adventures until I don't realize I'm doing it. I personally listen to podcasts to aid but white noise is the norm. You can also try melatonin (many places it is easy to buy without perspiration) but it might make you groggy in the morning and since it goes through your body fast it could also wake you in the middle of the night.
