Method help needed

hello guys this is my first time posting on here, bare with me english is not my first language, but I need some advice (hopefully someone answers lol). so i plan on ctb very soon and I don't have a date because i'm still deciding on my method in a way and i am going to further explain why.

so i plan to ctb by hanging full suspension with a polyester rope from my closet rod in my room, i've tested it already and it took me about 15-30 secs to fall unconscious so i assume it'll work but i've seen a couple of threads/ comments that my legs shouldn't be touching the ground but my legs were kinda touching the ground (i'm about 120 pounds and i am 5'3) for reference. will my plan succeed even if my feet is touching the ground slightly or will i need to move my rope a bit higher so i'm not touching the ground?? also how do i get over my Si instincts?? i need to be sure that this works and i succeed because i don't want to live anymore at all due to personal reasons so please if you see this please share your opinions and any advice would be helpful.

also my friend who is (21) i'm (20) brought me a gun (firearm) for protection, and sometimes my minds wonders if i should use it to cbt, because it'll be quick and painless, and that's what i wanted my method to include but then again i always remind myself that i can't, because i don't want to leave this earth knowing that i've left my friend traumatized and full of guilt because i'm sure she'll blame herself.. and i know hanging is also another good method so i've decided to just go with hanging, do you guys agree?? (i really need opinions on this topic because i've been going back and forth with myself, and if i did ctb with the firearm it would be a gunshot to the chest, so even then i might as well just stick to hanging because if i plan right i'll succeed and I won't leave this world knowing that i did that to my friend)

is hanging quick & painless really?? i mean i almost lost consciousness but i quickly took the rope off my neck so i didn't really experience it fully, thank you guys so much in advance for all your help and advice.

If your legs/feet are touching the ground, it's considerd partial hanging.

I don't wanna judge but considering hanging whilst owning a gun is a bit . Anyways assuming that's out of the picture FSH is very simple assuming you have a strong ligature and anchor point and know FOR SURE you won't be found in at least an hour (usually people say 30 minutes but I would try to go for 1 hour for absolute certainty). SI isn't a problem during FSH if there's no way for you to back out from the attempt, however you mentioned your legs were touching the ground which is a problem. Try to find an anchor point high enough so that your legs don't touch the ground.

Thank you so much and no offense taken lol, but honestly i've been debating about if I should use it or not because then I'll go out traumatizing my friend because she brought it under her name for me (for protection) and i'm sure she'll feel really guilty when I ctb and she battles with mental health issues (i'm not sure to what extent but yeah) sometimes I do want to use it so badly because I know it'll be quick and less risky because if I am found, then there's a risk of brain damage, but I just don't know if I should. Like honestly what do you think??

If you want the best chance, use the gun. Since you care about your friend, maybe only use it if your original plan doesn't work out. If the FSH doesn't work because you were found too early, someone will probably take away the gun. (I don't know the laws in your country, but it's almost guaranteed that you will lose access to the gun) If you fail because the anchor or ropes wasn't strong enough or something like that, you can use the gun as a back up plan.

I've only ever tried partial hanging, but I've heard that you pass out quickly with FSH. Usually when people have trouble with SI, they get high to dull their instincts, but that might be hard with FSH because of the coordination required.

Your feet slightly touching the ground shouldn't matter that much. As long as you're not putting weight on them, you'll still get the effects of FSH.

Look I don't want to seem like a psychopath or anything but personally I would go for the gun because (I don't know if you believe in God or not; I'm an atheist) after you die you can't really like regret you're dead because well… you're dead! So even if your friend does feel guilt you won't be able to see her go through that. Apart from that there's also the fact that it's your gun your body and your actions, and if your friend is also going through mental health issues maybe she might be able to understand why you ctb'ed

Just in case you're not aware, I'm pretty sure it's illegal for someone to buy a gun for someone else under their own name. The only exception is if they are buying the gun to gift someone and they give it to that person for free, then they are allowed to "transfer" it in that way. But sometimes there are additional rules about that depending on the state. And if they bought it for you because you're unable to buy a gun for any reason, then that is still illegal.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what advice you are asking. But if you are asking me advice about which method to use, I don't really feel comfortable answering that question for people on here.

And also, the more I research, the more I find out is possible to go wrong with any method.

Basically, nothing is 100% guaranteed

And I have read about people messing up because they instinctively flinched and had a subconscious/automatic reflex when pulling the trigger.

I also just read in your other post that you paid for the gun, not your friend. Legally, that would not be considered a gift and it is considered an illegal straw purchase to do that. Your friend would need to be giving you the gun for free for it to be counted as a gift.

But I'm not an expert on all the gun laws or on firearms. I have just been trying to read a lot about them recently. I do know that all the gun laws are constantly changing and the government keeps passing new bills that change the laws and rules. And that there are individual state laws that are sometimes different from federal laws which complicated things even more.

(An example of this would be how marijuana is legal in some states. But, it is still illegal at the federal level.

And so if you say that you use marijuana on the background check for a gun, you will get denied even if marijuana is legal to use in your state. Because the background check is a federal document.
