So I am in university and we have this new media class. And I wanna make a project, where I only eat 3 eggs for an entire day for 30 days, or even more if I can, and every 5 days to draw a self portrait.
I am overweight anyways and it can help me lose some weight.
So my question is, do you have any idea on what to add, should I eat something else other than eggs, like just cucumber or something with more calories?
Ik it is anorexic behavior, I was anorexic, but this is for extreme artistic project only, ill stop after 30 days.

If you want to make it less dangerous, I'd say make it 6 eggs, have them on toast, maybe with some avocado and spinach, and take a multivitamin. You'll still lose a shit tonne of weight, but you'll get a lot more of what you need to function.

Thats a great idea. My idea is a bit extreme, but the point is to document anorexic behavior by how it affects my drawing. Ill make sure to be safe tho.

Why? I just think it sounds like a poor idea.
I don't have a lot of experience on the topic, but I heard that there are addictive aspects to anorexic habits.

Wouldn't it be better to document the effects of a healthier habit?
You could incorporate physical training or a strict but healthy diet, or some meditation thing, or experiment with drawing very early in the mornings... There are so many things you could do instead.

I used to do intermittent fasting when I had a restrictive eating disorder. Anyway, you should pack the eggs with a carb and fat like Apathy suggested! It's really easy to get cranky and end up binging. Wouldn't want to ruin your project.

And also make sure this will be accepted by your university? Most universities have a fit to sit thing and they might think you're particularly unhinged if you do this.

Also, get plenty of fluids in.

But ideally, try thinking of other project ideas, this one is risky, and while I understand it has the plus of losing weight it also has the plus of giving you an eating disorder and also not doing your project to your greatest ability.

If you're going to be consuming that much fat daily, remove any high carb stuff like bread, cereals, etc.

Cucumbers are a good addition, or even pickles.

Maybe a protein shake that has all the vitamins and minerals in it.

Though I wouldn't recommended doing this for 30 days as it's basically an egg fast - maybe a week or two tops?

This "artistic project" seems like an excuse to starve yourself which I'm not judging because I understand but I have no idea how eating three eggs everyday is related to art in any way

Good idea! Ill see how it goes, and according to it ill see if ill need to stop or not.

it is purely a project. Ill stop if I feel really unwell. It is about how it affects my art and my brain. I was there, and I know ill not do it again, I mean starve, I am in a better place now.

I think you'll find it much harder to function without the bread, especially across 30 days. The keto diet (no carbs) is fine for some people but doesn't work at sub 500 calories / day for that long - I've fallen into that trap before. Getting enough fibre for proper bowel function will also be an issue without it - you can only eat so much spinach. I mean you can experiment with both but my expectation is it will feel more manageable with at least one meal with toast, especially in the later weeks when the cumulative effects start kicking in. Will also taste better! Avocado, spinach and eggs on toast is a favourite at my local cafe.

Well try to not go to extremes but if you need a suggestion you can make a protein fried rice more egg than rice content!

If you want to to taste like a meal from the gods tried to cook the veggies amd meat first : like ham , a tiny small clover of garlic, green onions (a normal onion works too) maybe some peas, carrots. When that's all cooked you can add some spices : a dash a salt to taste, pepper and idk maybe some onion powder if you dont have onions on deck.

When that's smells like heaven add the rice (is better to use rice from the day after) try to combine all the flavors into the rice.

When that's done ad the eggs without milk trust me. When you combine all of it and all is inmulsified and cooked you want you can add some soy sauce at the end.

And TADA! you got yourself a delicious bowl of fried rice!
