Do i necessarily need a gas regulator for the helium method? What's the bare minimum way of using this method? Helium (600L pure), exit bag, and some kind of tube i suppose but more advice needed. I'm seeking peace from being broken up with, and I need to do it as soon as possible the pain is unbearable. Or any other relatively painless methods i'm open to as well. I just won't jump. The thought of all my limbs splattered across the street irks me. I'd rather hang. In fact I wish to die at home. Dignity.

I suppose it could in theory be done without a regulator but why it's so easy to get one? Also we're talking about pure helium right?

Yes, pure helium. For the regulator it's because I want to CBT before Sunday, and with christmas season all k can get my hands on for quick enough delivery is the pure helium tank. But i've also been looking into partial hanging. Also even though I will be too gone to care, i for some reason can't bring myself to buy the expensive gadgets required for gas death lol.

Where did you get the helium?

I would not recommend this method for anyone who just wants to do "the bare minimum", and if you want to CTB before Sunday, that's not much time to learn every detail you'll need to know in order to make it actually work.

Why do you say this? A 19yo girl from Rice university recently just did it seemingly easily and if you google it - there's a nih.gov article that states it's painless and the described autopsy seemed to indicate it wasn't a complex setup in another case.

Yeah fair. I'll just be doing partial hanging, I ordered the rope. I was thinking of taking a full box of melatonin + 5 boxes of serotonin so that i'm too weak to change my mind and to aid in passing out quicker so I die with minimal pain. Is that a good idea? like if i were to take the pills while im in the noose incase the effects start too fast before i've finished taking all the pills.

I think it's complex in the sense I have to plan at least a week in advance for the material and execution to be efficient

No need for the drugs I think. Also, what tube will you use? I highly highly recommend a regulator because you have to otherwise twist the wheel really carefully because the gas is under high pressure

I'm well aware of that case, thank you. I say it because as the Peaceful Pill Handbook states, it is a highly technique dependent method. If attempted without the proper equipment or understanding of how it all works and why, it is likely to fail, and several people have posted here recently about their failed attempts at it. I have no doubt that the Rice University student did everything possible to ensure her success.

No need to get snarky - read the nih case then, they didn't do anything complicated or specific - like partial hanging threads on here, a ton try and fail as well - I don't think there are any more threads about failed helium as there are partial hanging.

All good - just don't think we should be collectively writing it off as a talking point, it obviously works - and by admission official government autopsy reports as well as known mechanics it's painless and fast. Honestly the biggest hurdle I see is getting the tank - the rest is not much of an issue.

If I was to go I know I'd want it to be this, not the terror and agony of the time it takes to pass out from partial and then possibly wake up from the convulsions shifting the mechanism to brain damage.

Oh, agreed. This is my method, and it's not a question of if I use it, but when. Are you in a country where it's hard to find? Buying my tank etc was the easiest part for me so far. The rest can be an issue or not, depending on all sorts of variables. A lot of details that need to be gotten right. The devil's in the details!

Idk since i'm not doing that method anymore. That's also a question i was wondering n i felt i don't want the risk of exit bag exploding bcz of too high pressure. Or my lungs

It obviously doesn't work at times too which is why it's always better to be as prepared as possible. Encouraging others to use less effective means is dangerous. The advantages of using a regulator are apparent. If you don't want others to suffer a failed attempt stop encouraging methods that are categorically riskier. Sure, a tank without regulator can be done, but it's important to acknowledge its risks and not get snarky and act like it's dependable based on one case report. The regulator allows for perfect hose connection and flow control. These factors are pivotal and should not be minimized.
