Anyone here has failed full suspension for reasons other than faulty knotnor or bad anchor point?

From the lack of replies on this subject I am going to take it that it is very effective.

All the hanging failure posts I see are for partial suspension. It is just too easy to stand up with partial.

With full suspension, there is no chance of survival so long as the knot and mounting point hold and no one finds you and intervenes. Once a person is hanging, they would not even be able to save themselves by grabbing the rope with their hands.

A Guy here said he hung for an hour and nothing happened, so that made me doubt. Maybe he was a prolifer???? I know lots of ppl here have watched videos so I wonder what's the maximum time it takes to black out or die?

I tried full suspension, basically I stepped off the chair but made sure that I didn't kick the chair over so I could still get back on. (The back of the chair was facing towards me.) It hurt like hell because my neck was holding all my weight and I obviously wasn't doing it right because I should've passed out. I don't think the ligature was tight enough. Partial suspension isn't painful at all if done right.

It basically has the same principle of partial supension: cease bloodflow to the brain, pass out, die. And that's the problem, apparently finding the right place for the rope is hard, and a lot of people stay conscious for a long time while hanging, which either results in a long and painful death due to suffocation, or the person saves themselves because they stayed awake for enough time to stand at somewhere nearby. Also, the ligature might break.

Wow seems so painful any lasting damage? Yes but partial is so unreliable, too easy to fuck it up.

Seems like with full suspension the rope will always go upwards under the jaw no matter where you place it?

Nope, luckily no lasting damage, just had a bit of a rope/friction mark. With partial I would sometimes find the sweet spot and start fainting within seconds. But I'd always regain consciousness and I'm not sure why? Maybe my body changes position while I'm out which in turn relieves the pressure on the carotids.

"Seems like with full suspension the rope will always go upwards under the jaw no matter where you place it?"

Exactly that. Due to the gravity of your full weight the rope will inevitably move up almost straight under the jaw, at least that's what happened to me.

I have, mainly due to SI. My setup meant that I was able to back out since I stepped off my bed. With a better placement of the belt or if I'd pushed myself a little further away I'd probably not be here. Pretty wack when you think about it.

Yes I think since the body convulses when you black out the rope moves or you unconsciously try to remove it thus letting blood flow go through again. I don't get how people like Robin Williams pulled it off! I think he used a belt and the seated position, I also saw here a partial video the other day and the guy goes unconscious almost instantly, although he was still breathing for a while but completly unconscious all the time even when convulsing. Ppl say here ver often that full is quick but I don't think it's that easy. I fissured my throat cartilage just by pulling a scarf not even very hard, I guess my cartilage had some fragility from a treatment with Cipro. It crackers every time I swallow, it's scary and annoying. I wish we could exist this shit easier. Did the pain from full put you off tryin it again?

I also don't know how Robin Williams pulled it off so easily, it makes me jealous!

Sorry about what happened to your throat cartilage. How long has it been crackling for?

Yup, it hurt so bad that it completely put me off trying it again. I'm now looking into other methods. Partial would've been perfect and peaceful but seems I always regain consciousness so it's just not going to work for me.

Shit seems like we are stuck here! It's been crackling and getting more unstable for a year and 2 months.
wow all this just makes me feel more hopeless, knowing there's no way out.
