I have a setup that is hopefully a FSH but may end up as a PSH because the anchor point is a bit low at 7"7. I am 5'5.5". My ligature, when tightened sufficiently, slides to just above my head.
I am confident in the anchor, rope and my knots: 12 mm braided polypropylene (or 10mm: easier for me to work with), anchor hitch for anchor point, arbor knot for neck.
The 21 inch stool I was originally going with is too heavy to kick over or move easily. To ensure CTB if it becomes a protracted PSH, I cannot risk getting back on that stool somehow. I doubt I could, as I am old, weak and sick.
But I have another, lighter stool that is 24 inches high that I could never get back on.
My question is, though: will it be too hard of a drop? Could it cause even more damage to my neck than a fall from 21 inches if I somehow survive? I would not be easing off this stool as much.
