But then stood at the edge and just couldn't do it?
Absolutely, not: fear and survival instincts, the agony of the fall, and the potential of being handicapped for life if CBT were unsuccessful.

SN would be hard for me to get and I have gastritis so I won't be able to do it anyway.

Wish I could get a gun but impossible where I live.
Why is gastritis a problem?

My first detailed plan was jumping from a specific parking garage. I never actually went there though. My current plan is hanging.

No method is foolproof though. Overdoses, hanging, etc. can also go wrong and leave you in a vegetative state. Which method do you have a preference for?

My stomach is easily irritated because it's inflamed so I can imagine that SN would give me awful stomach pain, vomiting etc.

Full or partial hanging?

A few times, and I think it's pretty common. I've just accepted that jumping isn't the way for me. I don't know how people who actually go through with it get past that feeling, but obviously some people do.

I also wonder how they get past that strong survival instinct.

I prefer the Exit Bag via nitrogen.

I almost jumped in the past but hesitated- and someone saw me and talked me down. They played to my SI. It worked.

Jumping is not a method option for me. If i hesitated once, i'll do it again.

My method at one point was a parking garage too- i had escaped and ran there only to find it bathed in moonlight and completely visible to the parking attendant. Ctb aborted that night.

I have, though it certainly wouldn't be preferred. I might be moving to London in the next couple of years and that takes away a lot of other options for me. I don't know if I'd have the courage to jump off of a building or some of the cliffs, but jumping in front of the train might work. I'd really hate to traumatize anyone, but the station closest to my boyfriend's house is fairly quiet, so that helps.

I've thought about jumping in front of a train also but I'm sure SI would kick in for me in that situation too and I wouldn't want to traumatise the driver. I hate that we live in a society where those who suffer endlessly are forced to live and have no peaceful and quick options available to end the suffering.

I've definitely considered it, but it comes with too many risks. Its chances of working aren't always 100%.

I want to be gone, not crippled.

They push through. Their life is so bad that the choice is clear.

We live in a society or should I say world that requires you to struggle for the things you want no matter how difficult. That includes death.

If it's high enough, you'll die. At this point, it's clear that people are hiding their fear of the method with statistics.
