Discussion Have you been able to maintain normal relationships after being abused?

Just wondering others experience, because after being abused really young, I feel like my life was doomed from the start. Every relationship (romantic/friendship/family) I had has fallen apart, and most of them turned out to be manipulators/abusers as well. I can't even maintain a normal job, because of severe anxiety and depression.

While I was always able to maintain my employment I feel the same way you do about the relationships I found myself in. When this relationship ends I am SO looking forward to being single again. And I intend to stay that way. I am REALLY looking forward to the peace and quiet.

yea and it was actually with the abuser himself my dad fucked me up in the long run but we still tight in fact hes getting me a dodge charger soon we're cool now

for the question: no. i actually cut off all of my abusers from me and i am planning to do even more cuts. once i realize that someone has been manipulating me for a long period of time i can't look at them the save. frankly no abuser can be tolerated and petty excuses like "i didn't know" or "i didn't mean to" will never be enough for what they caused.
