I am running out of natural options to try. I've done lots of things to improve the quality of my life and sometimes they worked but I recently got worse. If this next round of therapy doesn't work, I don't know what else to try.

If I'm going to CTB part of me wants to try psychedelics to see if it would change anything.

I've heard of incredible positive and awful negative transformational experiences with things like shrooms and lsd.

I've never used psychedelics because like everything else of this kinds, they're strictly controlled by the government, thus you can't find them anywhere. But I've always wanted to try LSD to see if the effects of it are really euphoria and other positive experiences.

Well, in mild doses they can be very stimulating, or it depends on which setting you are in. For example, you should watch or make art during them.

I haven't gotten hold of mushrooms or lsd'e lately, so I've been using mild doses of morning glory seeds.

They can become muscle cramps in the early stages of the trip, but for example aswagandha and lying still will help with that. It is also good to use other herbs, for example tulsi, during the trip.

this reminded me, i was laying down with my cat experiencing minor hallucinations. the design of her fur above her eyes looked like a really pretty peacock feather and i loved it XD

Microdosing is good. LSA that was mentioned is really good, I think simple extractions can be done to minimize the side effects. HBWR seeds usually made me vomit after an hour.

Psychedelics induce neuroplasticity like many other things, which can generally help.

Do not do high doses at all or recreational doses chronically.

Sometimes they make people more depressed especially in the wrong 'mindset and setting.' Dont take recreational doses with other mentally ill people that might have a 'bad trip.'

Ive seen people get worse or even suicide after using them, they were definitely a factor. Bonding with people on them is highly risky, they can amplify a shared fantasy.

Be aware of potential interactions with medicines you might be taking if you do it.

Personally Ive done psychedelics mushroom several times its pretty easy to find here in Philippines and i dont measure them because i dont have the tools cus im broke but i think most of my intakes were mild. It did good for me and its fun but it all comes back after the high is gone. I think it really depends how you take mushrooms because there's this time when i had a bad trip and it made me lose my mind and running around and imagining things i dont wanna imagine. But you should try taking mild dose for relaxation and for meditation and its really important to have someone beside you for them to guide you

Doing shrooms did enhance my empathy for a bit but only long after it was far too late for that to matter. The epiphanies came after I'd already irreparably ruined my own life...but if you haven't they could help a lot! But they also caused a mental breakdown recently so I recommend being in a good mood and having a guide you trust--neither of which were possible for me

I took mushrooms while severely depressed once... Wouldn't recommend. Just keep in mind that it can intensify your current emotional state, which can be very scary.

I traumatized myself with eight hits of LSD once 😅 I wasn't trying to heal, but rather I was bored with life and was trying to force a memorable experience 🤣

Would try shrooms at a much lower dosage though 👍

Appreciate everyone's shared experiences here. I'm looking to maybe start "simple" (if that means anything) with something like cannabis edibles. But, I've learned about the aminata muscaria mushrooms and their ability to give you a unique non-psychedelic high (for the most part), so I'd like to try those too, especially since they are also legal where I live. Has anyone ever tried these?

Tried dextromethorphan or Auvelity? Spravato or ketamine?

Tried shrooms, LSD, MDMA, K. Pure psychedelics don't have any effect on me, MDMA only makes me feel like I have a drop in blood pressure, K worked for a while for depression but it doesn't anymore.

Propranolol can help with anxiety. Buspar is sometimes helpful with anxiety but it's related to benadryl I think so you can see why. As is hydrozyzine. Valium has helped me but psychiatrists are stingy with it and only like short-term. I'm lucky to have it for 2yrs. Still not any better but it's made it to where I won't go lie down on the freeway at night. Auvelity is new if you can get it covered. I couldnt so I have a DIY formula. Spravato has helped some, not me. Ketamine also but it's out of pocket. I tried sativa edibles. Was worth a try but ultimately little to no relief. Only microdosed. The one with l-theanine helped the most. That's a calming amino acid added. Haven't tried shrooms or this psychedelic drink that doesnt get you high but helps your mood. I forget the company name. Might be on amazon. Anyway I couldn't afford it. Tried every antidepressant. Didnt know you could go above the fda limit which is needed for me, but you can to find a psychiatrist who is willing. Hope this was worth writing out :/
When I get around to starting shrooms. I'll at least start here. FB friend of mine.

From what I've heard, amanita gives a very introspective journey. I wouldn't exactly call it a non-psychedelic high, although it depends on the way you use it.

Remember to do your due research if you would ever take it, tho. If the psychoactive substance is not properly converted before ingesting, it can create great hazards for your body, not withstanding death (I guess the latter is not of outmost concern to most people here, but still).

I have only used amanitas once. I threw up and then fell asleep. I had a dream where the music in the room mixed with it in a distorted way. I was looking at some sort of light orb that was spinning around in the darkness. I thought I was dead and now I was stuck in some kind of limbo... I was there for a long time, until somehow I got back to my girlfriend's apartment momentarily, as some kind of energy. I went around the ring there at high speed, while her cat watched me go. Then there are only vague memories of some aliens. Later I woke up, and I heard that my girlfriend had stayed behind the front door in the meantime, and I hadn't come to the door, so she had to order a maintenance man there.
