Have any friend told you about suicidal thoughts?

I've had several friends tell me and ctb, and only one or two have actually improved their lives and gotten out of it. Usually I'm told shortly before they ctb, and I've never tried telling police or anyone because quite simply I think it's incredibly disrespectful to do so, though I wouldn't expect other people to do the same.
