I don't know if it matters but I was talking with my grandma a while back about this experience. She said that she was in a tunnel with a dark and light side and with her was someone(don't remember who) but the person was asking her to stay, she left for the light side and when she emerged from the "tunnel" she was met with god(catholic) and behind him was a fountain. They talked about death and is she really dead but he(the god) asked her to go back to the tunnel because people are waiting for her. That's it

I think your brain just does anything it can to comfort you. But I'm not religious. I tried to ctb with Ativan last December, but was revived. I just remember going to sleep.

I've had multiple. One that really sticks out is when I was in surgery at 16. I woke up halfway through and started freaking out then flatlined. I could hear the long beep for no heartbeat and I could hear them calling the code on me and resuscitating me. It was just blank whiteness and the voices were getting softer and softer.

Other times it was just blank white peaceful silence as the sounds slowly fade away. Followed by the crushing reality of gasping for breath or pain and noises flooding back in all at once.

Can i ask just quick, if she described the fountain, what it looked like?

I saw a fountain myself in the sky, white marble and gold, particular shape to it.

I've personally had near-death experiences (NDEs). My father had an NDE on the operating table. However, I'm dismissive of my own and other people's experiences for one simple reason. Strictly speaking, clinical death is the cessation of everything in the body that supports life. The "clinically dead" can't be resuscitated from death if all their life functions have ceased.

I would really like to find and talk with people who have. I've studied the "near-death experience" for many years, and am very pleased with these people's accounts. The joy and bliss and leaving behind of all their pain and anguish, gives me hope. It's just about that only thing in this world that does. So, I'm truly looking forward to my own transitioning into the continuation of my life on "the other side." It will be a wonderful new beginning.

It used to be true that people couldn't be resuscitated after they died. But advances in medical science have allowed doctors to resuscitate many people after they have been declared clinically dead.
