A great classic. The only real attempt at a bland ctb is the opening scene (added to the film, compared to the play from which the screenplay is based) where a neurotic Jack Lemmon/Felix Ungar, just left by his wife, tries to throw himself out of the window of a Times Square flophouse (Flanders Hotel) but the window is so badly damaged that it doesn't open... (then there are other allusions during the film, but always reported by third parties).Similar threads
