Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I've got several successful drug purchases done on there, but one day I saw someone posting that he sells handguns. Is it most likely a scam? His policy is 30% of the purchase is deposit payment with bitcoins and then the rest on meetup in a public place. I'd rather be scammed, but is there a chance this is a police setup? I could face 4 months minimum. Should I take the chance? Or are handguns (45 cal, 9mm) not even reliable enough to take the risk. My other method is SN.

I'm not sure what country you're from, but if it was a police setup you can probably expect your other firearms to be seized. If he's selling a handgun, then I don't see what the problem with you using the .45 calibers you already have would be since what they're selling it isn't going to be a significant upgrade. Now if it were a shotgun with slug rounds that would be a different story but even then I wouldn't suggest it. There are too many potential costs associated with the gain.

I personally wouldn't risk it.

Having a criminal record will just make your life more complicated.

Guns are illegal here in northern Europe. So this guy is my only chance. He can meet up in a restaurant or cafe for the exchange. Do you think this is a police setup?

I don't do illegal stuff. I don't know what to think nor will I give an opinion on whether it is or isn't a sting operation. I was simply saying that the risks associated would, to me, outweigh the potential costs. There isn't a way to know until you do it, which I would personally advise against it unless you're okay with facing the consequences, which it sounds like you're feeling a lot of trepidation towards since you're asking people on SS about it. 4 months minimum doesn't sound like a good time to me. If you're okay with the potential consequences, then it's a decision left up to you. I, nor anyone else on this site (hopefully), will try to sway you towards it. That being said, I have a feeling most people would be against you attempting to make the purchase.
