For myself the suffering I would cause by CTBing is a lot less than the suffering I would cause by slowly waiting to die and deteriorating further and possibly just CTBing even later. No one lives forever, and dying at a ripe old age having lived a life of misery and regret is no less sad than CTBing at an earlier age.
