  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I've had them for about 2–3 years, but now they're amping up. They were all very mild at first, I'd just see vague movement on the floor, like the blur of a pet running past you too fast for you to see. Sometimes humanoid figures within doorways, dark and translucent like shadows, but they'd disappear when I looked at them straight on.
This year I started having auditory hallucinations from time to time, unintelligible whispering, distant conversation (when no one else was home), snapping or the sound of motion up close to my ear, and I hear faint screaming from running water.

It all sort of culminated one night, I heard the motions, the whispers, and conversation one after the other. I was uneasy, but could still manage until I hallucinated my dead cat curled up near my boots, and at that point I freaked the fuck out. It was vivid and entirely unlike anything else I've hallucinated.

I know that hallucinations can be a symptom of psychotic/manic depression, but I don't have any other symptoms at all. I don't think it'd be something like schizophrenia, either. When I told my psychiatrist, she didn't see it as a "great cause for concern". Does anyone else hallucinate from their depression?

I've had the exact same experiences you have mentioned for a couple years, except for seeing dead pets. Whispering, hearing my name being called (even when I'm home and no one else is anywhere near me) and fast blurs are the most common. I have no other issues like shizophrenia or anything either. It tends to happen to me more when I am dissociating and being effected heavily by my depression.

Yeah, depressive pychosis is a thing. I've had it too although for me it was more delusions and not so much hallicunations. Have had a few though, like hearing someone call my name for instance. For me it went away after I started on working anti-depessants. Tat said, this doesn't mean that meds are they way to go for you, we're all different after all. I would suggest treatment for ur depression if ur able to get any that is. Either way I wish you the best. 🫂
