Alright so the bridge I'm planning to jump off of is the High Level bridge in Edmonton. For the instant death should I try landing head first? I'm confident it is tall enough to kill me especially since how far it is from the water.

I'm planning to climb over the barriers and jump. I don't wanna say when especially since I am not so sure but I want to make sure I die and not get paralyzed cuz MAID isn't ever going to be a thing

Yeah I'm pretty sure you want to land head first. But that bridge has barriers and suicide prevention stuff on it, which makes me think that it's tall enough to kill you even if you don't land head first.

I'm either going to go to that bridge to CTB as well, or go to the Lethbridge Viaduct.

I was thinking that when I jump, to ensure I land on my head I'd shape myself similar to a badminton birdie. Cross my arms on my chest, and spread my legs. The air resistance should put me feet side up, in theory. Not sure if I'd be able to pull it off in reality, but it's fun to think about.

I wanted to try it myself but I burnt all my bridges. Fine, fine. Now that I got that out of the way, let's address your issue.

What is the exact height of the bridge? Are there any grass or trees at the landing or is it a hard surface? Is it a very windy area? All of these factors apparently play a big role in survival.

Wait ur from Edmonton too? Holy fuck let's be mutuals!!! I'll checkout the Lethbridge Viaduct because the bridge I'm talking about is super busy as fuck.

I'm thinking climbing over the suicide barriers but I have to check it out when I land in the city because I am not so sure how to climb.

It is 156 feet from the lake I think. There are trees but it's super far from the lake. I wouldn't say it's a windy area but it's really massive. My only issues are those barriers because of how difficult it makes it for me to jump. They installed those in 2015 after a couple people survived a jumping attempt.

It's a really well known bridge which has busy traffic throughout the day so it'll be something I have to do really early in the morning at like 4 am or something. However it is one of the bridges that can instantly kill me if I'm doing it right.

Nah I'm from Calgary, added you back if that's still cool lol

There's not many places places to jump here, so I've been searching for other places in the province
