I've spent a while considering my options, and shooting myself might be what I choose if life keeps getting worse. I have a few guns but I don't really understand where to aim. I've heard its the base of the brain near the top of my spine, but I wouldn't really know how to angle it. Any advice? I really hate the idea of various poisons like SN, or suffocating like with an exit bag. That's how I got to the idea of guns personally. BTW I have a .36 cap and ball revolver, and a .308 rifle.

The bullet needs to hit your brain stemm. Best to shoot it 45 decree upwards through your mouth . Dont shoot it in a straight straing angles or too high. Like 45 decrees hope that help a bit

This might be the angle people are talking about, but do not place the gun under your chin like this. Almost everyone who aims in the way depicted in this picture ends up blowing their face off & surviving. Even if you are able to aim the gun in the direction shown with the green checkmark, I'm pretty sure it's also easier to slip and flinch when holding the gun at this angle and you can't see what you are doing in a mirror either because this area is under your eyes and field of vision. I do not think this placement (out of all the gunsho placement options) has a high "success"/completion rate in the statistics I read about self-inflicted gunshot wounds compared to alternative placement options.

Yeah you're right. Also if possible one should use a shotgun instead of heandgun. There's a possibilty to survive a handgun shot to the head no matter the angle. Wiith shotgun and the right angle it's 100% probably.

True, plus hitting vertebrae is not ideal and intraoral is going to be better bc of the bullet being closer to the brain from the moment you pull the trigger

If you're going to do this don't use a handgun. Use a high powered rifle like the .308. The shockwave will destroy your half of your head including your brain and face. Ronnie McNutt used a high powered rifle and shot himself up the chin.
I know people are meant to angle from inside the mouth. Can you explain how can you hold a rifle and do that? (I've never held a rifle.)

I mean you can angle the rifle in your mouth but the best way to do it would be to hold it up at an angle and aim it at the side of your head.
