I was never in a mental ward, I don't have any criminal back round but I'm on some meds anti depressants and Xanax. My state allows for psychiatrist to report if they think someone should not have a gun. I'm not diagnosed as mentally ill. I have an illness and i mentioned that I may pursue euthanasia I'm just worried mental health person could have said reposted something online to prevent me from getting a gun. Can you get arrested if you fail a background test for a gun.

The state here in the U.S. that I live in, one would get a letter from the state saying that a gun permit to buy was turned down and the reason why, but beyond that nothing else.

Now I have no idea if all states in the U.S. are the same, but as long as one does not have a rap sheet stating that one would get arrested if in possession if one had a firearm, then I cannot imagine why one would get the old perp walk.

Now if one is a straw buyer OR buying a firearm from a straw buyer, then I think that the odds of getting the arm candy (read handcuffs) would be a certainty.

This is for a shot gun in my state you don't need any permits. They just do a federal background check. I don't have any reason to get disqualified unless my psychiatrist reported me because I have a physical illness and I mentioned euthanasia in Europe. I do take anti depressants and xanax but as long as it's prescribed by a doctor I don't think there is anything wrong with that.
