Guillotine. Actually one man built it in his house and CTB, but that is a different story ;)
Very fast and reliable death. No antiemetics necessary, only some engineering skills.

I suppose I could make out I am training to be a magician, lol but no one would believe me, this man in the UK made one to ctb and should I be surprised there are YouTube video's of a man making one with a fake blade for Halloween, haha.

Based on the picture and choices in this thread, I'd have to go with the guillotine without a doubt. That is probably the most painless and reliable way of the choices in this thread in terms of death (I assume when the head falls off and rolls away, the person would not perceive any pain in their body as compared to other methods of execution/CTB). The cannon may be a close second, but too many variables can go wrong, such as what if the cannonball didn't score a direct hit and instead seriously maimed the person and more. I suppose in a controlled execution/CTB that might not be as much of an issue.

Yes funny enough after you mentioned about the helmet I vaguely remembered the story so I googled it, he was a creative genius a quick and efficient method to ctb but he was young as well so the World have lost a great engineer.

I would take the guillotine. would be the quickest. But I have read that your head would probably live for 10 seconds or so just enough time for you to look upon your headless body

I think I could cope with living for 10 seconds after my head was chopped off, I could check out my fine bod one last time, . but knowing my luck I would end up like miracle Mike the chicken that lived for 18 months after his head got the chop,

If the boiling frog thing is real, I would choose slowly boiling to be the way. I mean, I love water, in the shower I like to turn water more and more hot the longer I stay there till my skin turns pink. It would be cool just hang on that pot like a swag without pain and people staring wtf is going on.

I think I'd have to go with a good 'ole stomping from a nice, friendly neighborhood elephant. I can't imagine feeling the pain of mah brains slowly squishing out of my head but if it is swift I think it would be painless...ish. But what would happen if the blade on the guillotine isn't sharp enough to fully cut through? How many times would they have to cut before the sweet relief of death? Like that french king. Sounds horrid.

Oh I don't know it would be more terrifying hearing an elephant approaching knowing it will step on your head what if it misses and you survive only for it to make another try.

But if we were all the same the world would be a boring place.

When I played the "Postal" video game, there was an option to commit suicide if you got caught in an inescapable situation. Like, captured by enemies or fell into a pit with no ladder. The video cutscene would show the main character reaching into this inventory bag, pulling out his hand grenade, holding it with his teeth, and pulling the ring. The screen fades to black at that point, but use your imagination.

Now, that's one BAD-ASS way to CTB. Not to mention, instant. I'm sure an open-casket funeral wouldn't be an option at that point, but meh.

I think i use the canon pull up a long side of a lake fired the canon instead fish food :D . At least i be good for sum thing good old meaty fish food be a pity to let all go to waste LOL . O save on a funeral to :D

There were lots of stories in wars where a soldier would dive on a grenade thrown at them to save his friends, brave way to ctb.

That's not true CTB, in my opinion, despite still achieving the goal. Even the staunchest pro-lifer wouldn't have a problem with this.

I actually considered joining the military, after seeing the bathroom rifle scene in "Full Metal Jacket", to well, you know. But 10 weeks of abusive boot camp isn't worth it. Even the quarantine that drove me to join this site is shorter than that.

For completeness, I think you have to add decapitation via a car, chain, and sturdy tree. It has been used before, believe it or not.

Go check out the ancient Chinese's torture methods. There's a method where the executioner remove slices of flesh one by one while the victim's kept alive. It's said that it takes several thousand of slices over a few days for the victim to die. Can't imagine.
