I was wondering the same thing. I might say that someone told me that this is an incredibly effective product for cleaning or bleaching clothes ?

I would just say it's for work and that I didn't ask the boss questions about this. I don't think anyone would care any farther

It's really not their business

Say that in a polite way.

I'm not sure if that will be enough if tjey suspect suicide, murder or arson. That could be suspicious.

Retail sellers try to be nonconfrontational, bit I'm not sure what would happen here. I wouldn't be surprised if staff was taught what to do in situations like that.

If they care enough to ask, that type of response is 100% going to raise suspicion.
Then what? It's legal.

In neither of my checks did they throw anything out, or enter when not allowed. Or arrest me.

On the second instance they forced me to go in for evaluation, but that was the second occasion and if you choose to cover your ass you don't get admitted. And even if you do, you will have your stuff

I've had checks, they're not trained and if they are they're not trained well.

If they've been tipped off they know it's for self harm, not for murder

This isn't a welfare check. OP is trying to get this sent to a hotel and pick it up there to use without raising suspicion. Make sure to fully read the original post next time.

I'm in the UK I didn't need an excuse they can't take it from me as it's not illegal and they didn't

And what exactly do you think can come from delivering a legal package other than consequences stemming from knowing its used for self harm.

Ask OP buddy, they're obviously concerned and sounds like they want to avoid any issues.

Just because something's legal and nothing bad will happen at the end doesn't mean someone wants to go through an interaction that might be uncomfortable or have the authorities called on them.
