"The End" on Sky/Now tv.
It's a series (10episodes).
I can't really say if it's good or not (because my brain doesn't work like that) but it heavily features Suicide in a sort of pro choice way.

Perfume : the story of a murderer, by Patrick Suskind

The character of Grenouille is as repulsive as it is endearing. Should reread the book, which left a great impression on me, too long ago
(hum, now reminded of my fav person in the world that I lost, my little cousin :( who wore the same nickname given by my deceased father)
I LOVE that book! One of my favourites

The First Wives Club

Three college friends are reunited by the suicide of their friend. Great performances by Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler, and Diane Keaton.

I always recommend "The Sound of Insects." It's based on a true story about a man who decided to CTB by starvation while journaling the entire experience.

The documentary is very artistic and chilling at times. I believe he made it some 67 days before dying, the sheer willpower alone astounds me.

If you're into Nirvana/Kurt Cobain, you should watch "Last Days".
Montage of Heck is too much better

Isn't it "Girl, Interrupted"?

This reminded me of the movie "Hunger" (2008). The guy decided to CTB by starvation too.

"Of Two Minds"

on Amazon Prime

Never seen more accurate portrait of the suicidal struggle on film although bipolar is the main subject

I know there have been many threads on this theme already, but I'm looking for suicide themed books or movies or shows.

I already have "the Bridge", "Christine", "the Bell Jar", "It's Kind of a Funny Story", "Thirteen Reasons Why", "Girl Interrupted", and "Suicide Notes"...
Taste of Cherry is Incredible
The Virgin Suicides
Mouchette is pretty good (its weird and french new wave-adjacent but its so desolate and thought out that i cant help but adore it)

I can recommend "Lords of Chaos", a movie about the norwegian black metal scene. Including some interesting scenes with Dead (self harming and of course his bloody suicide).

Someone recommended this French movie on this forum a few days ago I think: Le Feu Follet (1963), translated it is The Fire Within. If you don't mind foreign films/subtitles it is a good one, also very "French" in terms of the mood and type of movie (if you have seen a lot of French movies and listened to a lot of French music you will know what I mean). I watched it on YouTube where the whole thing is available the other day, a lot of similarities with what I think about in this state.

Two Arms and a Head: The Death of a Newly Paraplegic Philosopher

This is one of the few pieces of literature where a disabled person speaks their mind about how they truly feel in regards to their condition. He ends up ctb at the end due to the agony he suffers as a result of being Paraplegic. Rarely do I see anyone mention this brilliant piece of writing he left in his wake. I think most people would rather ignore the harsh truths he discussed in his work.

Generally I'm not a fan of reading but when I started reading that book I felt like I don't have any other choice but to binge read more of it. He described things that I implicitly understood but didn't have words for them.

I'm kinda jealous of him. Having seemingly such a wonderful life, and after his life stopped being so wonderful, he did it. He fucking did it. So lucid in the end. I admire him so much even though I don't believe in free will.

My personal favourite is the movie "'night, Mother (1986)" about a mother and daughter who spend a night together after the daughter reveals by the end of it she will kill herself. The daughter does in the end kill herself and the movie is refreshingly non-judgemental about the suicide.

I watched Heather's and Girl Interrupted recently, I love Winona Ryder in these films. I had forgotten how dark Heather's was! The Hours is amazing, read the book and saw the film. I also love Philip Glass and adore the soundtrack. I watched 13 Reasons Why when I was going through a really stressful time and identified way too much with Hanna, but I suppose that is true for a lot of us. Just an amazing work and wouldn't mind watching it again sometime.

Another decent one I watched about a month ago was called "The Swerve.". It's on Amazon prime.

This reminds me of another powerful story about a man named Viktor Staudt. I don't know if they ever made a movie about him or not though. He layed down on a train track to CTB and ended up with his legs cut off but still lived. He spent the next 20 years in a wheelchair, became a motivational speaker, and wrote a book. He still ended up CTB though a few years ago.

Neither a book nor a movie but you should really read this manga:

Suicide Island.

The characters are just like us and don't want to suffer anymore but they end up on a weird island and new adventures will take place.

Impulse by ellen hopkins. I don't even like reading books but she has such a unique way of writing.

A lot of her books deal a bit with mental illness so I would mos def recommend checking out her entire works.

This is intense, real and plays out scenes that members undoubtedly experience to one degree or another in life. Moved to the top of my list. About to rewatch
