  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I'm overwhelmed. There's no escape but to CTB.

I'm sad it had to be this way.

Just ordered SN from IC, should be arriving in 1-2 business days.

Why me?

I'm questioning the nature of reality.

Question: What in my note will become legally binding? I don't want the media reporting on this. I'm in Canada btw.

I do not know the answer to the question, but I'm sorry that it has come to this point for you. This life is just so cruel and unfair and I know that living can be unbearable when you suffer so much. I hope that you find what you are looking for.

Not sure if anything in your note is legally binding as there's no witness to see you sign. Maybe if you do it on camera that could help. I'm really not sure. If you want it to be your last will and testament then I would suggest creating a proper document. Doesn't have to be pretty. Just has to serve its purpose. You can then point out in your note that your last wishes are covered in that document. I would sign both on camera but ideally you could have a legal professional witness your signing of the document. Might cost a small fee but its worth it if you want it to be upheld.

So to summarise - keep your suicide note and last will and testament separate. If there's custody matters involved these would be hard to navigate I understand but they wouldn't be upheld based on your suicide note. Not legally anyway.

I say that because it's all too easy to claim your suicide note null and void based on extreme circumstances and questions surrounding your soundness of mind. People cannot be trusted to make the decision that suits you most once you're gone.

Can't help you with Canadian laws since I'm in the US, but I'm sad for you, too. Not knowing what you're going to put into your note, maybe apart from legally binding, I would make the assumption that if you had requests about burial, or something like that, those types of requests would be respected. I'm sad for all of us who see ctb as the only way out. I hope, no matter what happens, you find some peace and serenity. We all deserve it.

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you planning to include information on who gets what (distribution of assets) in your note?
