An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.
Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.
So here is a theory, this account maybe new today but the user isn't. Perhaps its an individual that was banned before and has come back. Why do I say this, well here is a little clue and I quote "I haven't broken any rules". Now new users don't even know where the Resources page is never mind the rules. Only way you know the rules in most people is if you have broken them. So welcome back whoever you are. You are revered by Buddhists as you truly know about forum reincarnation.

Sorry about this and don't want to step on anyone's toes or move out of my lane, but seen a few new members join and the wording in their questions somewhat concern me so would be good to get a steer from those who know.
We have had a few joiners over the past few days that have concerned me with the questions that have posed, especially in the first few posts of their time here and certain wordings that seem like entrapment.
Seen a poster who specifically states "Help me to suicide". Now I don't know if that person is at the end of their tether and is so just frustrated they just blurt it out. But if anyone responds to a question like that, does it count as conspiracy to assist?
Also seen and again in my opinion, new members who just seemed to be a bit off within their first postings. Had one today looking for a video of someone actually cbting. I have to think that people who are against this site are monitoring it and these things can play to their advantage. You can imagine the news headlines of "Ghouls sharing death videos" or "Helpless person given a prescription to die". Neither of those reflect what this site does, but all it takes is one event.
Maybe I am a bit too conspiratorial in nature so its possible that I am making a mountain from a molehill. But sometimes its better to be careful rather than having excellent 20/20 hindsight
Maye these newbies (I am one) don't know or are not totally familiar with these ingrained rules and regulations (not the offiial ones-but just what you long term users feel is 'ok' - and will not make you feel paranoid), and what linguistically is a way that older users deem ok to ask for advice-I would say that considering they have just decided to join a suicide chat room for the first time in their life that yes there is a high probabilty they are at the end of their tether and full of desperation. Also I am not 100 per cent sure if it was me but I did mention a video in a post-I was not looking for a link to it or anything just wondering if anyone else had seen it-as it obviously directly relates to many discussions on one of the methods threads-if it was a reference to my post (just in case)-I can reassure you I am not monitoring this site. -
You are being the most combative person here. I beginning to really agree with Stan that you are a former user who was banned, and now you're back just to try and retaliate.
I literally don't have to do anything, I am just sitting back here watching you 'do your thing' I am actually quite amused now, was a tad annoyed earlier, but you have actually made my evening. Thanks!

I'm looking at this from the human perspective. It looks like a person that was bullied is recreating their prior experience by assuming that everyone is attacking them.
I think some introspection may be required.

"Did you know you sold somebody a chair and they used it to end their life?"
No
"Did you know this person well?"
No
"So you're telling me you had no involvement in the Tickle Me Elmo thing?"
What are you talking about...?
"We found him with a scarf around his neck, his pants down, some questionable fluid on the front of his britches, and a Tickle Me Elmo toy fastened to his buttocks, the batteries were dead. But of course, Lo and behold, your chair you sold him knocked over at the scene as well. You had no part in assisting this?"
I did enjoy the "Hi I am Sophia and 24" since we are telling our real names and ages then, Hi Sophia, I am Queen Elizabeth II, Defender of the Faith. I am 93 years old and come from England

as another user said as a old member, there have been a ton of eyebrow raising and extremely odd posts over the past year that have raised questions about an individuals intentions on the forum. but there's also a reason why mods and admins have constantly emphasised the focus on security and protecting yourself with anonymity, with even accessing sites such as this; let alone posting. with methods being shared around, products including controllable substances being talked about, aiding in suicides, etc, its inevitable if something does happen.
but definitely, it's smart to be critical of everything and anything; especially with how many people have been scammed and/or just doxed or trolled by individuals who get off on doing things and seeing those suffer.
