I have read if someone does suicide one will leave his body but you will stay as a ghost on earth for so long as your natural death would have occured. Is that true? I think that could be very boring and long time.

Nobody knows whether that is true or not. It mainly depends on what you believe will happen after death. All we "know" are NDEs and what people reported but we never could ask someone who did the very last and final step onto the other side. They never returned and therefore we could never ask them how it is over there.

Tbf I'd be down for that if I could still interact with stuff.
Haunt someone for a few year then vanish.

I just believe that anything like that is completely fictional, I believe we completely cease existing after we finally leave this world and there is simply nothing for all eternity, we are completely unaware. Death finally is the end to all suffering which is true peace to me.

There are many ideas out there on what would happen after death. I guess some of them are accurate, informed by people who have died or entities from a different world. But also many are disinformation to manipulate people for various reasons. Probably everyone has heard the right answer, but doesn't know it's right.
