Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I can somewhat agree with you.

Help with mental health is about:
1) Money
2) Power

Last year I filled out an online questionnaire at a mental health provider website. About 30 minutes later, I go a no and nothing to say why. My100% guess is that in the questionnaire I listed that I at that particular time wanted help with my meds, no benzos involved and they did NOT like the fact that I wanted some help and not the whole package.

One time at a mental health provider they insisted that I go through their DBT program, and I stated that at that time I wanted to concentrate on talk therapy. BOY! I was shown the door permanent in seconds!

Found out later that it was a 52-week program that would have cost about $22,000 (USD).

My question is this: was it recommended for the cost OVER what it might do for me.

It is the same for me with ANY medical OR dental, MONEY!

I wish just one time that humans that went into mental health as a profession, would THINK about the patient instead of the money.

Walter

The fucking funniest thing is when they say get help as a phrase in a discussion simply meaning to undermine you. Same as suggesting that somebody has psychiatric problems became an insult, for example in political debates.
