  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

So anyone who has SN. When you finally had everything in your hands to ensure you could ctb peacefully did your perspective on things change? I notice alot of people say they have SN and done seem as desperate to end it all as people who maybe resort to trying other methods such as hanging or drowning ecetera. What I mean is, I am wondering whether people's perspectives change once they know that they literally have death within the palm of their hands. Having a substance in your hands and knowing you will die if you take it, is much more freeing than feeling trapped and like you have to make a quick exit in a very painful way because you don't have another choice.

It's almost like people with SN want to give themselves more time because they know that they can die when they want and they feel free by that. Whereas people who don't have SN I feel like they feel restricted I know I did because they feel like they don't have a peaceful way out of life. I think things are different when you literally have a peaceful way of dieing at the palm of your hands. I don't have SN yet but I have ordered mine.

I don't think it's just with SN....it could be method of choice like guns, drugs, poisons. Once decided and determined the person will start planning and executing the method and doing the necessary research as most people who use peacefull methods do tend to plan and execute the method according do their pace because it's not impulsive.

Yes it feels good when you have a an option at hand but i Don't think it has changed my perspective.

I mean not being in such a hurry to die. So maybe wanting to die and planning to die but feeling peace knowing you will die and how long you have left to live x

I absolutely feel like that. I started to feel that way once I decided on a method and it got more intense once the SN was here (I already owned all the pre meds). I just feel a lot better knowing I have death in my closet whenever I'm ready. I've actually been getting impatient to take it.

The experience probably isn't confined just to people going with SN, but there is something to be said for the process being quite simple and something you can do comfortably at home (unlike jumping etc).

I think a person who is desperate and in a hurry to die will die some way or another.

When I was in University a perfectly normal guy jumped infront of a high speed train just because his mom and dad were splitting or something of that sort .. and that's it ... He was gone. He didnt bother or wait for anything or anyone..
No research ..no forum..
No venting.... no notes
Nothing
